Staff very welcoming and friendly. Restaurant excellent. Room very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again, keep up the good work Dave, Zoe and team!
I would not recommend this hotel at all. We stayed here for 2 nights, we arrived at 8.30 in the evening given our room. A tiny little box that you could not move in, went into the bathroom there was poo in the bottom of the toilet. We asked for the manager we were left waiting 20 minutes to see him. He did change our room. Next morning we went down for what we thought was going to be a beautiful breakfast, how wrong we were. Tea and coffee comes from a flask that you couldn't get the water out, a little small bowl of fruit ( with just apple in it ) on to the main breakfast it was absolutely disgusting, you wouldn't feed it to a dog. The sausages were so small, dried and pink. Like they had been cooked the night before, rashers were burnt and some were pale in colour. Myself husband left without eating it. I have the photos to prove it. It's was the worst food I've ever tasted. Plus most of the staff are very young. We went into the restaurant for 7. 30. Were we where sitting the wall paper was coming away from the wall, it's restaurant is old and dirty. For the prices they charging. For starters €14.50 for a bit of cheese and salad. €16.50 for a crab cake and 4 prawns. The manager was so rude, my husband got up to see what the bar was like and the manger followed him. It was a horrible experience in this hotel. There is no way this hotel is a 3 start, it's old and very very dated
lovely stay really enjoyed the craic on Saturday night
Excellent hotel - food great & the town very special
Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely and relaxing atmosphere. Convenient and quiet location. Easy access to nearby amenities and tourist attractions. Really enjoyed our break in Hylands. I will be recommending the hotel to family and friends.
The hotel doesn't accept oneforall vouchers after booking via the website which was annoying. Apart from that stay was good, rooms were spacious, shower was great and breakfast was lovely. Staff were very friendly
I have stayed in Hyland's Hotel on a number of occasions now and have always enjoyed the friendly and homely atmosphere of Hyland's. The food is excellent and the bar facilities very inviting. Ballyvaughan is very well situated for touring and hiking in the area and overall staying at Hyland's is a very pleasant experience altogether. Four Stars.
Good location for touring north Clare. Hotel is smart, clean, good size bedrooms, friendly staff. Would stay again.
We stayed in Hylands hotel last week for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location, comfortable, quiet, clean room, great food and very friendly, helpful staff- bike hire was organised for us even though bike Hire Centre was closed that day. All four of us were very happy and will definitely be booking Hylands again.
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and a beautiful area. What more do you need for an enjoyable short break?
Excellent hotel, family run and has a lovely cosy atmosphere. Great food, perfect location for travelling to Clare
