A beautiful hotel in an amazing location for access to killarney national park just across the road and bicylce hire next door. The staff in the hotel are so friendly and will to help anyway they can. Excellent food - the fresh fruit salad for breakfast was very nice, the penne pasta with pinenuts is great. Have stayed numerous times before and will definately be returning. Amazing value. 5*

Fab hotel, a little gem will definitely be back to stay here the next time we visit Killarney. Room was perfect, breakfast was the best I've had for a long time, great selection. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Loved this place

Excellent Hotel, Staff are top class, Freshly cooked breakfast instead of buffet which I prefer, Location on the outskirts of Town but close to Muckross Park and Entertainment next door in Gleneagles, Whats not to like. I return here anytime I stay in Killarney. A Little Gem.

Christine scored 5 / 5 on 17/06/2014

Stayed here early May 2014. Couldn't say enough about this hotel and wonderful staff. Spotless spacious room, Booked 2 nights dinner and bed and breakfast. All perfect. Look forward to returning. Thanks to all. Keep it up.

Stayed here in early June 2014 and it was lovely, very nice room and the staff were great. Would stay here again, very good value too.

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, so different from the big chain hotels, a boutique hotel at its best. Staff were so pleasant and friendly.

We had a most enjoyable weekend in the Victoria House Hotel. We keep returning to this hotel as it's very clean & comfortable, the food is outstanding and the staff are second to none. We cannot praise this hotel highly enough! We were lucky & got an upgrade and the room was lovely. The food is so good we ate in the hotel all the time. The bar menu and restaurant menu are both excellent and very reasonably priced. The Lidl deal is fantastic value-long may Lidl breaks continue!

Mairead scored 5 / 5 on 26/02/2014

We stayed for one night at The Victoria House Hotel, we were greeting by a lovely girl on reception which gave us a complimentary upgrade. The room was lovely very spacious with a king size bed. There was also a jacuzzi bath which was fab. We had both dinner and breakfast there which were really lovely . Would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon ourselves.

Just back from a lovely weekend break in Victoria House Hotel. We keep returning to this hotel as the rooms are lovely, the food is fantastic and staff absolutely outstanding. We cannot recommend it highly enough! There is a great choice on the breakfast menu-the pancakes and brown bread made on the premises are excellent-and a great selection for dinner. The bar food menu and restaurant menu are also excellent and very reasonably priced. We ate in the hotel all the time. The dinner included in the deal is very good. The hotel does not have a leisure centre but we don't mind as we love being out and about in Killarney. The hotel is nicely situated, midway between the town and Muckross House. As it's a small hotel it's very peaceful. The beds are very comfortable so you get a good night's sleep. The room we stayed in looked as if it had been recently refurbished-the furniture looked new,it was spotlessly clean, a proper hairdryer was supplied as well as good toiletries and tea/coffee facilities. All the linen was spotless and looked new too. Long may Lidl breaks last-they are excellent value for money!

Enjoyed our stay at the Victoria. Only there for 1 night - not long enough. Good food, lovely clean hotel, nice homely feel and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Excellent location also and next door to the Glen Eagle which is excellent for night time entertainment.

Stayed here on Saturday night with my boyfriend and we both loved the hotel. Very friendly staff who made a real effort to make us feel welcome, especially the ladies in the dining-room. Beautiful décor in the bedroom...jacuzzi bath was a real treat, great food...particularly loved the bread and fruit salad at breakfast. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to returning at some point in the future.

I recently stayed in the Victoria House Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to Muckross house. The staff in the hotel are so helpful and friendly. They were so accommodating to our needs and made our stay very pleasurable. I have to commend Monica on reception and Theresa and Christine in the restaurant, they were all so kind and helpful. The food in the restaurant was superb and the staff and chef were very accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Brid scored 4 / 5 on 10/09/2012

We had the pleasure of staying one night in the Victoria House hotel Killarney on Friday 7/9/2012, we found our room beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Check in in was friendly and quick, we ate in the dining room that night and could not fault the food or the service both were exceptional, we had breakfast before we checked out and again both food and service was excellent. We had lunch in the bar before we left for home and that too was great. Overall we were very happy with our stay in The Victoria House Hotel and would highly recommend it, we would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again in the future.

Jean scored 5 / 5 on 28/06/2012

I would highly recommend this hotel first just how relaxing it is, no noise of any kind during the day or night inside or outside the hotel,, all staff are so friendly and helpful making your stay one to remember, I have fallen in love this homely hotel, and now use it every time I visit Killarney, This say alot about the hotel as Killarney has some of the finest hotels in Ireland, . I couldn't praise this Hotel enough, the location was perfect, the staff were so nice and helpful, the room was fab and really clean, the bar had a good buzz and the food was nice. It is very near the National Park and Muckross House two great walks and not forgetting Torc waterfall. I will 100% be going back to the Victoria House Hotel. Thanks.

Grace scored 2 / 5 on 22/11/2011

wasn't that impressed with the hotel , its like a big bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. i stayed with my 2 daughters and booked the hotel( a family room )l in the morning and arrived about 1o clock. and the receptionist told me that she had a double room and would put in a travel bed , well that wasn't a family room that i booked and i told her so . she then went and got me a family room with a double bed and 2 singles . the bed and bed clothes were damp the radiators were turned off in the bedroom so we got no heating on until 9 o clock in the night.food was good .no bath in the room which i love so i wont be staying there again.

Rec. a call at 10.59 on the 17th November, the night we were to stay , saying that they were sorry but they were closing the hotel that night. They had however booked us into the Riverside Hotel up the road where we had a pleasant stay. Brian A Mongan.

Ann scored 3 / 5 on 17/11/2011

I loved the rooms and I thought the staff were very helpful. but the food in the bar was better than the food in the diningroom. The entertainment was below average. I would love to go again but stay longer.

Thomas scored 5 / 5 on 15/11/2011

We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were looked after by the receptionist. We were attending the INEC centre in the Gleneagle Hotel which was next to the Victoria Hotel. It had its own car park and its only a short walk to the Gleneagle Hotel. The room was lovely and warm and was most comfortable. It had a large screen TV in the room but unfortunately it had only a few channels. The breakfasts were very nice and the staff were most helpful. The stay was reasonabley priced. We had a drink in the bar that night. In all I would recommend it to others and I would stay there again. Cheers Toddy and Mary

Carol scored 3 / 5 on 24/06/2011

Just back from a break in Victoria House Hotel with my husband and two sons. The breakfast and evening meal were very tasty and is something to look forward to . The room was spacious however smelt musty. The hotel is not suitable for young children as they do not have any facilities at all to keep them amused however there are plenty of activities in the area to keep them busy during your stay. My husband and I would return to the hotel but not with our sons , we would recommend families to stay somewhere else. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Kevin scored 5 / 5 on 07/06/2011

Very pleased with this hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We enjoyed some great tours including around the Ring of Kerry and the lakes near Ross Castle. We will definately be back! Kevin and Magda from Bray, Co. Wicklow.

John scored 4 / 5 on 23/05/2011

The Hotel and Location were absolutely perfect. The room was beautiful, spacious and very homely. the kids enjoyed their camp beds and jacuzzi bath which added to the adventure of the trip. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, and knew exactly our needs as a family. The only negaitve comment I would add is that we found the breakfast suppliment for kids a bit over-priced. As our kids are only 3 & 5, they only consumed a few sausages but %u20AC6 per child was a bit much to ask.

Rachel scored 4 / 5 on 03/05/2011

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. it is officially a 3 star but should be a 4 star. the service from all staff was excellent. we stayed with 2 kids and the family room was huge, one double and two singles. bathroom was good and clean. breakfast was lovely with nice choice freshly cooked to order and pancakes which our little girl loved. two small considerations are it is more like 2 km out of the town centre so a long walk for a 3 and 5 year old, also a bath in the family room would be nice but luckily our kids also love showers. overall we loved this hotel and will definitely go back, there is so much to see in killarney, excellent place for a family break.

My family and I stayed in Victoria House Hotel last Saturday night. We have 2 small children (3 and 2) who were given the choice of sleeping in single beds or travel cots which we appreciated. The room was huge and warm. We had an evening meal there and the food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend evening meal option. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Myself and my two daughters aged 8 and 10yrs stayed at this hotel for two nights while attending the all irelands irish dance competition at the Gleneagle Hotel recently. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, location was perfect, rooms were fab, very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast superb, very child friendly,so sorry to hear it not in killarney next year would definitely have rebooked, however may take a break there with my partner. It was excellent value for money, could not fault it if I tried and I hard to please!

Caroline scored 5 / 5 on 24/11/2010

Value for money was excellent at the Victoria Lodge. The meal was beautiful and the staff in the restaurant were very frienly and efficient. We did feel that our room was a little small and was lacking in apperance - for example there wasn't any head board on the back of the bed! I thought that this would be a standard fitting in any hotel room. It was very noisy where we were situated on the second floor so the rooms were obviously not sound proofed.

THE VICTORIA HOUSE HOTEL HAS BROUGHT GOOD FOOD, FRIENDLEY STAFF AND WARMTH BACK TO THE IRISH HOTEL. I WILL BE STAYING HERE AGAIN IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.

we had a lovely weekend here stay start of september. Food excellent in restaurant and bar ( brekkie fab ) staff excellent receptionist ( monica ) very efficient and friendly had good craic with her barman friendly waitresses very efficient and friendly Good atmosphere in the bar beds comfortable only downside and Im really only picking here as it was a treat for my fiance: I paid for an upgrade for 2 nites (20 euro a nite not too bad) but delux room not exactly as advertised on their website.there was mention of bathrobes and mineral water in the rooms and we didnt get any. decor a small bit dated also with all this said i would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. It is very homely and cosy but In saying that it might not be for everybody especially if you are looking for a fancy smancy hotel.
