The Hotel is situated on the river Suir with a relaxing riverside terrace area and yet only 2 minutes walk from Waterford City Centre. Offering a great location and yet just a short walk from Waterfords pubs, clubs & shopping areas. For bookings of 10 or more people this hotel will need a rooming list 10 days before arrival and a deposit of 200 euro at check in. This is a non smoking hotel.

The Hotel is very comfortable and the decor in the bedrooms is beautiful. The Elva restaurant could do with a bit of decor, we thought it was very bland for a 4 Star hotel with such beautiful views of the river.
Chris was an amazing we had a small issue with our room and Chris went out of his way to help us. The staff so were friendly and so genuine. Would definitely stay again

paid extra 15 for evening meal menu had only 3 choices picked fish and chips the fish was similar to donegal catch supermarket type it was over cooked dry and bread crumbs were brittle sucked it up as did not need grief, went to bar at night the gents toilets were out of order had to go to room on 4th floor to use our toilet.
Our stay at the Marina hotel was excellent and I will certainly recommend this hotel to all my friends! From start to finish everything was perfect! Starting with the reception, great food, room with a view, wonderful welcome we received in the room (chocolates and a birthday card) I will definitely come back soon ??Thank you Magdalena x

Pleasant stay and wonderful staffs.
The room was large, clean and very comfy bed. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Dinner was not great I got the chicken linguine and it was bland and the chicken was chewy, got banoffee pie for dessert and it was not great no biscuit base. I did complain but I was still charged for the meal. Breakfast was a lot nicer. It was also very cold in the bar.

Breakfast also excellent with a wide variety of choice. Hotel is in good location with only a 10 minute walk from attractions such as the Viking triangle and Waterford Crystal visitor centre. Would recommend it to anyone visiiting the area.
We booked a double room and received a single room. We were very disappointed as the bed was very small and my husband is over six foot. We had two very very bad nights sleep because of this.

Beautiful hotel recently renovated to a very high standard. Plenty secure parking and very comfortable rooms. Friendly and very helpful staff and an excellent breakfast with ample choice. I would have liked to see more choice on the Bar Food Menu but overall a very enjoyable stay. We will be back in the he Spring. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel very welcome.

This is our second time to stay at the Marina Hotel and must say Staff are very friendly and helpful and pleasant. There was only one issue with our room. We stayed in room 101 and there was only one side of the bed with a plug. I needed to charge my phone and people like to sleep on a certain side of the bed and it so happened that my husband wanted to sleep at the same side as the plug, leave me no plug. A charging point could be even put in the headboard.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Waterford. It's good value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has had a complete refurbishment and now has all the comforts for an enjoyable stay. Close to shopping and entertainment you can't go wrong with this place. A 3 star hotel with a 5 star treatment.
First visit to this lovely hotel, from checking in to checking out we had a pleasant experience, all staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a young chap working in the bar when we were having breakfast, I have to say what a lovely friendly chap he was. Our room was lovely everything was spotless and there was even bottled water left in our room. We will be visiting again next time we are in Waterford.

Bedroom was lovely. The renovation in the bedrooms is great. I'm sure when the restaurant and bar is complete, it'll be a very modern hotel. Slept well (although construction did start at around 9am, nice wake up call! But we were prepared). Breakfast was good. All staff lovely. Chloe on reception very friendly at check in. The staff at reception were really pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was really nice the set up was done on self service but the chef was extremely helpful. When you entered for breakfast it was a nice welcome. It was busy but not fussy. I will be going there again when in Waterford.

We had a wonderful few days in the Waterford Marina hotel for my husbands 70th. birthday Such a great location. We had some lovely walks. The room was very well equipped with everything we needed. All the staff were so friendly. The card, chocolates and drink given to him was very much appreciated.A lovely thoughtful gesture. We would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future. Although there was renovations been done it did not interfere with our stay. Thank you all so much.
We stayed in The Marina as we always do every year on my birthday. The hotel is central and within walking distance for all attractions in Waterford city. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms many with a river view. The food is tasty and prices are on a par with most restaurants in the area. If you feel like a short break away for a night or two you won't be disappointed.

All the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The breakfast room staff went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. The chef with the moustache/beard sorted out out our vegetarian breakfasts with a smile. Thd room was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The car parking situation was also excellent. Could not rate this hotel highly enough, what we paid and what we got was something else. Customer service was very high, the room was really lovely (yes the hotel could do with some renovation which I believe is planned) but beds were comfortable, shower had a strong flow and water was warm etc. Breakfast was lovely, decent variety on offer, full hot Irish breakfast along with all the cold options of any buffet. The staff everywhere could not have been nicer at all, reception staff, bar staff, lounge staff and room staff - definitely return based on the experience provided, hotel situated overlooking the river and five minute walk into the city centre, couldn't have been better. Thanks.

I stayed in the Waterford Marina for 1 night on the 30th of June 2022 with my mother. It is a lovely hotel and we ate in the Waterfront Restaurant that evening and we were served by Dermot and he was very helpful. I would recommend family and friends to stay here and would come back again myself

Lovely hotel, we had a river view and it was absolutely beautiful. The room was a very good size and was very clean and had a safe etc. The staff were all very professional - the chap that checked us in (don't know his name) was very friendly and welcoming. This member of staff and other managers said hello, asked how we were etc. when they met us. Breakfast had a good selection, the bar food was also very good and the bar also overlooks the river. Would definitely stay here again. The free underground secure car park is also beneficial - just press the intercom to gain access - (don't drive up the ramp to the higher car park as this is not belonging to the hotel).

I taught the hotel was very dated ....furniture needs to be changed in the rooms and the restaurant....was not impressed ????...food was just ok and staff were great but wouldn't recommend going on the state of the furniture

Staff food and location were great but the mattresse on bed was awful old uncomfortable and badly needs updated it was so uncomfortable that on our second night we lay on top of duvet with a blanket over us to try to create a cushioning not good enough standard for a hotel

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, the only negative was we booked 2 rooms, which ended up over kitchen areas, noisy vent sounds from 6:00 am, the bedrooms were really very basic.

Lovely hotel close to all amenities including shops and people's park. We had a room overlooking the river which was relaxing and peacefully. Have stayed there many times the rooms are nice and clean. The food is always good. The staff are all very friendly,especially Helen couldn't do enough for us. I have to say one of the waitesses was very grumpy left us waiting 25minutes one night and 38minutes another night before before approaching us when you only have 90 minutes that's not fair.Also she didn't charge us for 2 drinks when pointed out to her she snapped at me. She was also like this at breakfast!kind of spoiled things a little. But would still recommend the hotel and the rest of the staff.
The location of the hotel is good...Walking distance to city centre’s main attractions and all the restaurants of various cuisines are also closeby The hotel is old but the rooms are spacious and were clean. There was no water bottles provided in the room and when we asked abt it they said that tap water is ok to drink. For the first couple of hours the tap water ran clean but later it was all mucky and brown in colour...My wife was pregnant and I was travelling with my 4 year old so it was very difficult to survive on bottled water...this water was not even fit for brushing or taking shower.

Enjoyed our break at Marina Hotel from 2-4 Dec 2016. Staff very pleasant, good entertainment each evening,great choice of breakfast. We would have liked a larger bed as the double bed ? that was supplied was not suitable for two adults.
Stayed for one night and would definitely go again. The hotel was very cosy and clean, the staff were very pleasant and the food (especially the beef) was excellent.

We stayed in the Waterford Marina Hotel, this hotel was fantastic, the staff were the most helpful, obliging, extremely friendly. The hotel was fabulous, everything perfect in the room. The location of the hotel was brilliant just a short walk to the city centre. The food was superb. I would highly recommend that if you were to stay in Waterford City, the Waterford Marina Hotel is the only place you should stay.
We were delighted with this break. It was a little tricky trying to find it as it was behind other buildings but a great location for the city. The hotel had their own parking which was great. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. I'm wheat intolerant and they double checked everything for me. There was a nice spread for breakfast and dinner. Their peppercorn sauce is the nicest I have ever tasted! The dining room is a bit draughty especially at the windows. Breakfast on the Sunday was busy and eveybody's toast was slightly burnt at the edges. The room was comfortable, double and a single bed, dresser, coffee maker, tv, table and chairs etc. The decor looks a bit dated and there is a smell of air freshner in the corridors but you get used to that. Shower was grand and hot and it was lovely to have the option of running a bath. It is a bit dark around the area of the hotel so I wouldn't be walking alone. We would definitely recommend a room looking out over water.

A well enjoyed stay at the Waterford Marina Hotel. Our room was lovely and overlooked the river, as requested. The hotel also wished us a Happy Wedding Anniversary with a personalised greeting note and a complimentary box of Milk Tray! The dinner and breakfast included in the package was excellent and with great service. The hotel was conveniently located for exploring the city and shopping. I would not hesitate recommending this hotel to others. It was all it promiced to be and at a bargain price.

Nice hotel with lovely views and good location. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed both food and drinks.the rooms were standard,clean ,my only complaint would be the bed was ok for a overnight stay but my back was sore after the second night,but I was happy to stay and would stay again

The hotel rooms were spotless clean. As the hotel was quite small I found the reception area lacking character. The food in the hotel literally was piping hot which was off putting as it was hard to enjoy. the food portions were also quite small. All in all, the hotel was fine as myself and my wife were there for just the night. It is in quiet area of the town so there was no noise outside at night.
The staff were friendly The hotel was neat and clean The breakfast was of a good standard, and the service was good. We did not like the dinner menu We thought the vegetables were poor and scarce.

There for weekend with two friends, we live in Dublin, Kerry and Cork, so don't get to see each other as much as we'd like and thought Waterford convenient for all three. The Staff were welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. The food gorgeous. (had planned to dine in hotel Friday night and go out on the Sat - but the food so good, we dined in on Saturday as well). Park up the car for weekend, everything within walking distance. Lovely views. We had the best weekend. Enjoyed it so much am already planning a return visit with the hubby as soon as possible. Big thanks to all the staff. Can't say enough good and positive things about the Waterford Marina.

We enjoyed our stay at the Marina Hotel..the staff were very helpful and friendly. No effort was too much for them to point out the "must not miss" places in Waterford, the waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive, the food was enjoyable and the ambience in the bar was very pleasant. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any visitor to Ireland. The location of the hotel is within easy walking distance to the shopping areas and tourist attractions and its situation by the river is picturesque. Great value for money.

We stayed in the Marina Hotel from 15th November to 17th November. We travelled with a group of 13 girls. We had a great weekend. The hotel staff were just great nothing was too much for them and I mean everyone one of the staff ,from the reception to cleaning to bar staff. The hotel is spotless , clean towels provided each morning. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Pamela Carthy

Stayed at the Waterford Marina Hotel last Friday night with a group of girls. We really enjoyed our stay, staff were lovely and the rooms were clean and bright. We went with the B&B and dinner option. The food was good with a great choice on the dinner menu.. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I hope to return with my husband soon.

We had a fantastic stay at The Waterford Marina Hotel. Out room was spacious, clean and overlooked the river. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. The staff were wonderful, everyone went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking to the viking triangle and Waterford Crystal, which is a must-see for any visitor. Only recommendation I'd make to the hotel is to install even a small safe in the bedrooms. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to everyone.
Hotel was very clean, with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and breakfast was excellent. I had a nice river view from my room.
The dinner was lovely, however very smal portions and i only recieved one boiled potatoe with my main course. I requested a room with a view of the river, but I did not expect that it would be a smoking room and the smell of stale cigarettes was awful. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly.
We had a lovely stay. The staff are very helpful & friendly.The shaver unit was faulty and the cleaning lady was ever so helpful and provided a room where my husband could shave. On returning from our travels that evening the faulty shaving unit had been replaced. The room was very nice and spotless with a lovely view of the river. The breakfast was excellent and the meals in the restaurant very nice. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from the town centre. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
This was our third visit to this hotel in three years and we have to say that we found it very relaxing and comfortable as always.The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is quite good as it is nice to walk along the front and into town.The breakfast was also lovely.We have no hesitation in booking again and look forward to it.The Lidl breaks are great value for money. The hotel is pretty basic but has all you need and only 5-10 mins walk from main shopping area, although there is many other things close by e.g waterford cyrstal, pubs etc. unfortunately there was a slight smell in the room but that was caused by the river when the tide was out. I would reccommend this hotel it was clean, food was beautiful, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Parking facility is great underground secure carpark no extra charge. Will definately stay again if looking to get away for a night.
We were there last week for a weekend and had a great time .Staff are brilliant and very helpful.Music in the bar was great in the evening and breakfast was perfect.Couldnt fault this place except it was a little bit further down the quays than i thought but other than than we had an excellent time .
Stayed in the Marina Hotel Saturday & Sunday last, great buzz on Saturday, a little quite on Sunday, nevertheless we had a truly relaxing time, Staff made us feel so welcome, Room was as ordered, it had everything we required, with a great view of the River Suir, with plenty of water activity. Food is really good, (get plenty of it) and the price is right. Breakfast is spot on, great variety to choose from. Only 10 minutes walk from the City Center. This is our second time staying in the Marina Hotel, and I will definitely return, fantastic VALUE FOR MONEY "WELL DONE LIDL" & THANK YOU Val (DUBLIN)

Spent St Patrick's Day weekend herel! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great location (just close enough to the city to be able to walk everywhere and far enough away not to be too noisy! Would recommend it!!
Stayed for two nights in February we are a couple with and 12 yr old child. Staff are lovely, room was great nice and spacious with super view. The location is great, walking distance of the centre and all the attractions and also there's a lovely little park beside it called the Peoples Park with a great playground if you have children of that age. I can highly reommend the coffee shop in the park as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
Stayed here first week in January with three children. Staff were very helpful and could not do enough. Family room was huge and comfortable and location very good. Biggest down side was breakfast,standard buffer fair which I dont like as i ilike a fresh grilled breakfeast,wasn't much other choice eg. eggs benidict. Apart from breakfeast its a fine hotel and the staff really make it homely.
I found my recent stay in the marina hotel to be very pleasant. Staff were welcoming,dinner was gorgeous & the rooms were very comfortable. It was excellent value & look forward to returning.
Great location & with parking on site. Staff were friendly & room was fine, shower could have been a bit warmer but otherwise no complaints. The buffet breakfast was enough to keep us going all day! Was tempted by a nightcap in the hotel bar late on Sat night but the dodgy music being played put an end to that idea, luckily it didn't last too long as could still hear it in the room.
We stayed for only the one night in the hotel and was sorry that we hadn't arranged a second. We did a Lidl one night break which was excellent value. From the moment we walked in, it was lovely, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, and although there was a problem with the key card, the staff couldnt have been more helpful. The room was just like the picture on the website - spotless white bed linen and immaculate towels. Food was fabulous! So handy to the town centre and a lovely river view. Secure locked parking too. Absolutly no complaints what so ever and wouldnt hesitate to visit the hotel again or highly recomment it to friends. The only thing I would change is the length of time we stayed there!! Lovely Hotel just a short walk from the town and just beside Waterford Crystal. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the rooms were spacious and clean. We all had a lovely weekend and I would recommend this hotel.
This hotel is really a hidden gem in Waterford City, within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Going on previous reviews we asked for a room away from the bar with a river view and I must say that was exactly what we got - and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable, We opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast package which we found to be excellent value, there was a great choice on the evening menu and we tucked into the hearty breakfast the following morning while taking in the views of the river with all the boating activities taking place. We will definitely be back to stay at this hotel again.
Nice Hotel, very pleasant staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only criticism I have was with the waiting staff.or should I say one in particular! We didn't have Dinner in the hotel but had breakfast the following morning. I watched with horror when I saw one of the waitresses setting a table, she was handling all the forks,spoons etc not by the handle but by the part you eat off. The same waitress dropped cutlery on the floor, picked it up and set the table with the same cutlery!!!
Having stayed here previously, our expectations were high. It is fair to say that the views/rooms are lovely and for the price, it was reasonable. The breakfast is good, with both quality and quantity, if the hotel could bring that to their evening menu they could be on to a winner, but their dinner menu is very dissapointing, with poor food and portions in favour of children rather than adults. Having also had an evening meal at another hotel in the city, which was excellent, this hotel should realise that with the current financial situation, people will go out for better value and better food quality. The staff were lovely in general, but their were problems. We had asked for late check out on arrival and this was agreed but on the day of departure, we were called by the reception to remind us we were" late" checking out and we had to remind them of our agreement. Then the lady cleaning the rooms, banging on the door asking us when we were leaving as it was her last room and she wanted to go home. Never had this in any hotel we have ever stayed in and it put a disapointing end to our break, even though the manager apologised, it should not have happened and management and staff need to communicate with each other to avoid this in future. Will we stay again?, I don't know, with so many other hotels in the city, probably not.

This Hotel is a very good 3 star. Very Clean, Staff very friendly. Great location in the centre of Waterford City. Food good and excellent value. Very nice views of the River from bedroom and dining room and terrace. Will definitely go back again. Planning another trip for December for Christmas Shopping. Loved it. Kay Crowe.

This was my 2nd visit to this hotel & I found the staff to be very friendly & helpful, going out of their way to please. The room was very clean with lovely white cotton sheets & fluffy towels in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet has great choices & all freshly prepared food.
5 of us travelled down to the hotel on Saturday 15th September, we arrived before 11am and went shopping as all women do, the receptionist phoned me to let me know that our rooms were ready, we could not of been treated any nicer, the rooms were situated across from each other as I had asked for , the rooms were lovely with tea/ coffee making facilities, everything was spotless, our dinner menu was lovely and the staff were really friendly and as a special touch as we were celecrating the twins 50th birthdays cheese cake came out with birthdays candles in them. The music on the night was great a one man band who could play anything we left at 12 on Sunday I would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will be back.. Eileen Maher
Had a great weekend in Waterford . Food is delicious in the bar. Rooms are spotless and the staff very helpful especially Daniel and Roma . Always stay in the Marina hotel when we go to Waterford which is twice a year.
Stayed in a Family room for 2 nights and we found it was good value except our view was the flats and car park. Breakfast was standard. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is ideally located for walking to shops and the kids loved the People's Park which is only a short stroll away. I think it has the best playground we have found in Ireland so far. The Gate lodge cafe was a real treat and great lunch.
The hotel was nice, good location, pleasant staff, live music both nights we were there. The big problem was the ceiling fan in the bathroom which was going 24 hours a day. Got very little sleep the 1st night. Reception assured me it would be turned off when l politly complained the next morning at 9.30 am. When we arrived back in our room after a night out all was finally silent after the fan had been going all day & was beginning to sound like a jumbo jet was in the room. Finally got some sleep till 5.45am when it started up again. Was very disappointed that having said they would turn the fan off they did not bother. Would not stay there again.
I have been to this hotel several times and have been happy with the overall experience. One of the things I particularly like is the lock up car park. however this time I found notices up telling me to park in the enclosed car park before booking in. On my arrival it was pouring with rain. There are sever parking bays at the rear of the hotel marked Hotel. In view of the weather and the fact that at 73 years of age I did not relish the thought of dragging our cases from the underground car park, i did in fact park in one of these spaces. I raised the matter with reception and was told the hotel only had two disabled bays at the rear of the hotel and that I was likely to be clamped in the other bays. This seemed to be in keeping with the notice I had seen outside and the one attached to the reception desk. It did seem to me if this information was correct that the marking of hotel on the bays should have been removed. The following day I went back to reception and asked them to verify that if I parked in the bays marked hotel I was in danger of being clamped. This time I was informed that the bays marked hotel could be used by the hotel guests. i still hold the opinion that the hotel is comfortable and good value for money which is the reason have returned so often. That said I think the question of the use of the car park should be made clear to patrons. Getting two opposing versions of the situation does not make for a happy guest. I would also like to suggest in this day and age where most people carry valuable electronic items such as lap tops it would be nice to have a room safe as is usual with most hotels these days. I would be interested to know the managements version of the car park situation.
We had an overnight break in the Marina and were very pleased with everything. Very pleasant and helpful staff, dinner and breakfast were very good. We could recommend it very highly. Ann Higgins
On arrival, the check in was courtious and fast. The hotel itself boasts stunning views over the River Suir, and even though the main shopping area is a short stroll away you have the "get away from it all" feeling. Staff were very friendly and professional. Ordered breakfast to the room for the three mornings there and was delivered on time twice but had to phone on the third occasion, but then it was delivered speedily. We ate only once in hotel bar and had the "special of the day". It was a very small portion of food and to be honest I would not recommend it if you were hungry. A few extra scoops of mash would have made a difference, but this would be the only fault I would have. Rooms were bright with lovely views and cleaned each day without fail. If you want a late checkout on day of departure, do ask in plenty of time or when booking as this was not possible on departure for us. Overall I would definately stay again, well done Waterford Marina.
Stayed in a family room (1 double and 2 singles). Nice family friendly hotel, perfect for a short and good value stay. Staff very friendly. Within walking distance to the main areas, car needed for exploring further a field (Tramore, Dunmore, Passage East, etc), secure parking in their underground guest only car park. Nice setting along by the river Suir, this area has been renovated quite well. Breakfast was great each morning, good selection of cereals, breads, fruit and juice from the buffet and then a nice selection of cooked food, no complaints from my gang who filled up each morning. Bar food was fine but lacked variety and a little more imagination could go into the kids menu, but I'm sure keeping it simple works from a cost perspective, no issue with the quality. Would be great if it had a pool for the kids or an arrangement with one of the nearby facilities. Would recommend for a short city break, well done to the management and staff proving that good value and service can be accomplished in a city center location.
We stayed in the Waterford Marina Hotel last weekend. It was my first visit but definitely won’t be my last. We ate in the hotel both nights as the food was fabulous both in the bar and the restaurant. The rooms were spacious and spotless. We couldn’t fault the hotel and to get it for such a great price on the Lidl breaks was a bonus. But I couldn’t do this review without mentioning the amazing staff – from front of desk to restaurant manager to bar to household staff they were so helpful, polite and friendly. Always with a smile on their faces and with a full hotel and plenty of challenges they never faltered. We’ll be back real soon! Fiona Duffy
We really enjoyed our stay at the Marina. Lovely comfortable room with great view over river Suir. Great breakfast and one of the nicest evening meals we have had in a long time served by staff who semed to be enjoying their job. Catered well for my wife's gluten free needs. Well done to everyone at the Marina.
The food in the restaurant was pretty basic fare - but was entirely edible. They messed up my starter (deep fried brie should be harder to get wrong than right) as it was uncooked and when it came back out it was only slightly more cooked. Main course was chicken which was perfectly tasty. Desert was a selection of treats which looked tastier than they actually were but they were still nice and at the price it's not like you'd complain too much. The breakfast was pretty bland but it was at least substantial. The room we got was absolutely huge jutting out into the harbour with windows on 3 walls and a great view. A reasonably priced hotel in a nice location and is only let down by the food. If I could get the same room again, I'd definitely stay here but forego the food.

On thenight we stayed the dining room was not open for dinner for some reason but we were offered the same menu served in the bar with a complimentary drink for the inconvenience.Food was very good and the staff were exceptional. Have only one complaint about the hotel and that is the entertainment in the residence bar the first night we stayed, an awful singer called Just Kieran. There was no effort and he kept messing up his equiptment and pretended to play the guitar throughout his set. Apart from that the Marina is a brilliant hotel, rooms are lovely as are the staff. Parking was free and very safe and the breakfast and dinner were gorgeous. Would highly recommend to everyone.

my family stayed at the marina hotel for the may day weekend, we were celebrating my 60th birthday, The staff were exceptional they went above and beyond their duty to ensure we were well looked after, We have stayed in many hotels throughout the country but none compare to this one for comfort and cleanliness. The food in both the bar and restaurant was excellent, we most definitly will be returning for another stay and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about a break in the south east you will not be dissapointed. Thanks again to all the staff who looked after us so well.

We arrived on the 26th of April 2012, we had a brillant time in Waterford which was mainly helped with staying in the Waterford Marine Hotel, staff are lovely, we stayed for 3 nights with breakfast inculded, which was also love too, rooms are spotless, couldn't give out about anything and would defo stay there again :-)
the hotel was very centrally located, rooms were very big and clean. the staff were really friendly and very helpful. we only ate breakfast there and it was cvery nice and fresh. i woudl definitely recommend this hotel to others. my only issue and its a personal one, was the toileteries weren't good didn't like the shower gel/hand soap/shampoo combi in the bathroom.
The hotel is very nice with warm friendly staff and clean if small rooms. We were well looked after, the breakfast was very satisfying and even though the hotel was quite busy the staff were helpful and attentive. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family.

What can I say about this hotel? We stay here quite a lot and it has never been a let down. The rooms are always clean and fresh, the food is great and the staff are fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Waterford.
The hotel itself was adequate , the staff were friendly and helpful but when me and my boyfriend stayed there it was particularly windy and we were kept awake all night with the noise of the roof (we were on the top floor) although the weather is out of the control of the hotel staff I still feel this hotel could make some other small improvements for ex: Separate Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash instead of a generic dispenser on the wall of the shower which was not of the standard I would expect in a hotel.
We had a thorughly enjoyable stay at the Marina, location of the hotel is great as it is just a short walk to the shops, and would really recommend the restaurant food as its very reasonably priced.

My husband and I recently spent 1 night ( a return visit) here on the dinner, bed and breakfast rate. Hotel is nicely located on the river. Check in was efficient and friendly.Our room was pleasant and spacious. Meals were very tasty and fresh and there was a good menu to choose from. Staff were polite and very helpful. We have enjoyed our stay at waterford marina hotel. Its a pity that we could have stayed more than 1 day as the staff there is very nice people. Very good value for week or weekend breaks there and thanks to lidl-breaks.

Enjoyed my stay in the Hotel. Soap/Shampoo dispenser in bathroom was not working properly and the control lever for shower was broken. Towels in bathroom were very small for showering. Food was good though at dinner we had to ask for more veg and fries as the portions were not adequate. Service was good also.
After reading a lot of great reviews before booking I must say I was quite disappointed with this hotel. I will admit that the staff were very nice and the food and wine we got for dinner was lovely but I don't think I'd be staying in this hotel again, when there is a much nicer hotel very close by. Very dreary looking from the outside and very very basic hotel inside. A lot of improvements in decor could be made to improve the overall rating of this hotel. Also was quite disappointed that we had to have our dinner in the bar as the restaurant wasn't opened. Would not have booked this hotel if I knew I'd be having dinner in the bar.

Stayed at this hotel with my sister for two nights on 28th october and found the hotel very good the staff are very helpful and friendly there is car parking available and the bar and restrauant have a good menu and the food is excellent we had a lovly meal on the saturday night for 50euro including a bottle of wine would go back there again as it's only a short walk into waterford city our room was quiet big and very clean and airy facing the river well done to all the staff keep up the good work Barbara
Lovely hotel this is the second time i have booked this hotel for a short weekend break through lidel breaks.The staff were excellent, rooms basic but very clean . Breakfast and evening meals were very good ,could not find any faults Would recommend this hotel .
Just took a well earned one night break in Waterford and stayed at the Marina Hotel booking through the Lidl Hotel Break offer. We thought it was excellent value for 1 nights B&B and Dinner. Staff couldn't be nicer and service couldn't have been better.Very relaxing atmosphere in the Hotel and entertainment in the bar created a lovely holiday atmosphere. Will definitely stay again as the hotel is so central and its setting overlooking the river is fab.
Good hotel in a central location location in Waterford with secure parking, rooms are clean and bathroom spotless. Breakfast and dinners are very good staff too are efficient and helpful and I must say that it is good to have locals as staff it is easier to converse and understand what they are saying. I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether for a short break or a longer holiday.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff very friendly. Food very nice. Room very spacious, comfortable and clean. Secure car parking. 10min walk from city centre. Only drawback I have was that even though our room was on the 3rd floor we could still hear a lot of noise from the bar on ground floor (which did not finish until 3am on both our nights stay).

Stayed with my Mother(82) for 1 night on 19th of September. Found the hotel excellent value. The food was top class,both our dinner and breakfast,I am a Coeliac and had requested a Glutin feree menu,no problem in this regard,had glutin free bread,great service. We had a very enjoyable 2 night break in Waterford Marina hotel. I would say it is 3 stars+. The bed linen were crisp white cotton & the towels were white & fluffy. We found the staff to be very friendly & helpful.
Myself and partner had only booked the 3 nights a few weeks back, we were both looking forward to a few days away from all, and that is what we got, great Hotel, perfect location only 10 minutes walk away from everything you could need , Shops, Restaurants, Take Away's, and never to leave out the great pubs, full of Irish song and buzz. The Hotel staff are real friendly & helpful, check out Danny working in the Bar, he is so helpful and cute, the food is lovely real homemade bread yum yum and again the service is very good & friendly, even got baskets of left over bread from breakfast to feed the awaiting Swans & Wild Birds, this was amazing, as our room overlooked the River Suir, it was breathtaking to see the small, boats & wild life right at your window as you enjoyed a cuppa. we really got everything we went looking for and more, most certainly recommend and we will no doubt return hopefully soon. May we extend out sincere gratitude to Lidl for the great bargain and to the Hotel Staff for making our stay so enjoyable THANK YOU

They must be doing something right because we keep coming back. The location is great. Nice for a quiet relaxing break yet only a stone throw from the shops of Waterford. A good base for exploring the area. Good food, clean rooms, helpful staff and secure car parking. Excellent value for money. A riverside haven. What more could you want.
I stayed in The Marina hotel with my Mum and Sister's. We had a brilliant stay. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. Food was very good and plenty of it. Music in the Bar was great and brilliant atmosphere. The rooms were very spacious but one small problem at night they were too warm as no air conditioning. Also the shower was difficult to turn on as the knob was too tight to turn easily. But all in all we had a brilliant stay. Lidl breaks are great value for money. Thank you.

This hotel is absolutely fab. I have 3 children and we stayed in this hotel last year as well. The breakfast is lovely with a great choice of food and after breakfast the children were given bread and toast that was left over to go outside and feed the swans, which the kids love to do. Every morning and evening there is a complimentary newspaper and the staff couldn't be nicer. This hotel if very child friendly. The rooms are very big and very clean. My kids cant wait to go back again next year and they didn't want to leave. Would highly recommend this hotel to anybody.

we have stayed in the marina hotel in waterford three times since last november and we've enjoyed our stays every time the food is great and the staff are very helpful the rooms are a good size. we went down in november last because it was our 30th wedding anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere where we could enjoy the city and we did. with the lidl breaks you can find hotels anywhere you want to go and the price of there breaks is fantastic. i know as long as lidl breaks are around we'll use them many thanks anne and mick

The Lidl break was great value for money. The hotel was spotless, food was lovely, staff friendly etc. I would recommend it to my friends. My only fault, and a minor one at that, was the pillows were like cardboard! Terrible headache both mornings. Overall a wonderful stay. Very happy!

Myself and the wife stayed in the Waterford Marina Hotel last week, the Hotel is fantastic to stay in, good food and service, the room was comfy and warm with teacoffee supplied, there was very little noise and this made a big change to some places we have stayed in, the only thing i had a problem with (only small) it took me a few minutes to find out how to get the ESB working and there was no apparent signage from the trainbus station on how to get to the Hotel. This is a great Hotel for a quiet break whether it be a Weekend or a week. Simon Morrison.

I stayed in the Waterford Marina Hotel with my Sisters and my Mother - found it to be clean and basic but from arrival to departure found the staff could not do enough for you - the food was excellent in the resturant and in the bar. Would highly recommend it and would stay there again. Lidl breaks are great, you have a great choice all over the country and it is really great value for money - would book through Lidl for any breaks that I would be going on. Keep it going.
I stayed in Waterford Marina Hotel for 1 night in January with a group of girlfriends. The hotel's location is great, just 5 minutes away from the city centre. Check-in was efficient and friendly, and the rooms were spacious, clean and bright. We booked twin rooms and each contained a double and a single bed. Unfortunately one of the girls found a hair in her single bed and a hole in the sheet. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel so I can't comment on this. We found the receptionist to be really helpful when we phoned reception to inquire into where we should eat and socialise in the area. Breakfast the following morning was tasty, with plenty of variety at the buffet. On checking out we were allowed to leave our luggage in a secure room in the hotel until later in the afternoon when we collected it. All in all this is a great 3 star hotel!
We went to Wexford for a friends 40th and decided to stay in the Marina for the night. We arrived at five to four and from the start were treated with the utmost kindness and respect. The food was fantastic and without doubt the nicest main course I've eaten ( the sea bass) and the staff were unbelievable- they couldn't do enough for us. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Marina to any one and at such a price I will more than likely go again.
I've stayed at the waterford marina many times before and i have always found the hotel fine,this time i found the hotel was fine but the walk front at the hotel and walk up to the hotel front was covered in snow and ice and had not been cleared at all,also the walk to the car park was covered in ice and when we were leaving,the member of staff told us to watch our step!! nothing had been placed to make it less slippy and my friend had an accident outside the front of the hotel,if salt or sand had been there it would have made it alot easier to come and go.
Stayed weekend 26/28 november wit my wife and another couple.as the weather was so bad we could not get around.On the friday night went to the chinese oppiste the tower hotel top class.On saturday tried to get to the town about 5 minute walk but ti dangerous so stayed in hotel bar great day. Staff could not do enough from the time you walk into the hotel recption bar resturant cleaning all staff excellent.Had a meal in the hotel on satuarday again excellent.Staff realy make you welcome and nothing is a problem.will go back as soon as the weather inproves. Great value for money well done lidl.
we stayed in the marina hotel in waterford and from the time we arrived to when we left we were made to feel very welcome the staff are great and if you want anything they will help you as much as they can. this is the secound time in a few months that we have stayed there and we will be back soon i hope. thanks to all the staff we enjoyed the break. lidl breaks are great value only for the great value and the choice of hotels we would'nt be able to go away and hopefully we can take advantage off the offers again in the near future thank you anne & mick behan

We had a family room for a 3 night break.. Room was spotless and the staff very helpful. Hotel was 10 mins walk from the centre of town. Very good value for money. We only ate breakfast in the hotel each morning as we were gone for most of the day .Each evening we ate out in the town/ surrounding area. Breakfast was buffet style & basically all you could eat. This break make me look at another Lidl deal in a different part of the country before the end of the year.
We spent October bank holiday at Waterford Marina hotel. Was great value with Lidl Breaks and so easy to book. Hotel is in good location and we had a lovely view from room 211. The staff at this hotel truly work together as a team ensuring you have everything you need, and that you enjoy your stay. The food here is scrumptious and evening dinner is great value. Bar area and entertainment were quite enjoyable. My only criticism is the layout of breakfast counters.. While queing for your hot Irish breakfast you are blocking the counter where diners need to access cereals, fruit and bread. There is ample room to have the hot and cold counters in seperate areas.. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will no doubt return to it again. Debbie, Dublin

Had a great three nights weekend at the Marina Hotel. Food , Staff and Entertainment was great. If it had a pool and leisure centre it would be up there with any four star hotel.
Had a fantastic weekend in the Marina, staff had to be one of the most friendly, attentive and courteous I have ever come across, rooms were lovely , ours had a great veiw or the river with swans and other birds constantly in sight, very relaxing. Food in the restaurant was very good and plenty of it. Buffet Breakfast had every single item you might desire. If the Marina had a lesuire center it would be a very good four star!!! Just one point, if the breakfast buffet was totally self service I think there would be less of a queue at the hot serving area. Danny was the most efficent barman in the lounge and the music was quite good.
Great value for money in these recessionary times. Great location. We were very pleased with everything in the hotel,room was lovely (our room was to the rear and there was some late night/early hours of morning activity going on so not nice if you have to be up early) ,otherwise, food lovely, the staff nice and helpful with everything.We would reccommed this hotel and hope to stay there again in the near future.

Hotel was a in a good location and we had a wonderful view of the river. Staff here are really friendly and very obliging no matter what we requested. Bar staff in particular were great. We were on the 4th floor, so it was very peaceful with no noise from the bar, although there was music in full swing there on both nights. The breakfast was good although I would like to have seen more choices for people who are not interested in full Irish. The bedroom was comfortable to an extent. Duvet was too heavy and barely fitted the bed. The bathroom also could do with a revamp. Having said that, I would stay here again for the peace and quiet it afforded. It costs %u20AC6 by taxi to the town centre. For %u20AC140 for 2 weekend nights, it was great value.

Lidl break great value for your money in this time of recession. the hotel staff were very frendily and the food was good. the music in the bar is only suitable for an old audience, as we had to leave and go in to the city . the resturant is very poorly lit and it was hard to read the menu.

i was very disappointed in this hotel, actually would say it was the worst hotel i've ever been too. Ah were to start, the food was like bad carvery, plates were scalding and the food tepid. Microwaved me thinks!!!! The breakfast was ok. The rooms were old fashioned but not too bad.The worst thing was a 21st on the Saturday night, the screams from one young fella that he was going to kill his girlfriend (scared the living daylights out of me) and her crying half the night was truly the worst behaviour i've ever come across in a hotel. I will not be returning....ever, do yourself a favour pay a bit extra and stay in a nicer hotel than the marina.

This Hotel was lovely, very clean rooms with lovely views overlooking the river, friendly staff except for one girl. Breakfast was really nice one of the best I've had from a hotel. We also ate from the bar one afternoon and the food was great and reasonabaly priced. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the city. It was great value to book this through lidl breaks and will definetely go on another one soon.

Waterford Marina Hotel has a great location, we enjoyed our stay. Hotel is nice and clean, rooms are basic, according to the 3 star rating, food was great and staff are very friendly. Lidl breaks offers good value for money.
The room we stayed in was basic but clean. The staff were friendly and co-operative, but we didn't eat on site, apart from breakfast which was pretty good. Entertainment was available on both nites we stayed there. Overall all was adequate without going that extra bit to make it a memorable stay. Weather was brill for the few days we stayed.
I would rate this hotel highly. The food was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room overlooking the marina was lovely and of adequate size. There was a party of six of us and noone had any complaints. Very good value for money and i will be back.
My wife and I arrived at the hotel on Sat. p.m shortly after4 o'clock. We could not gain access to a room because the room keys could not be processed at Reception until they were delivered from upstairs. We were in an hurry as we were due at a wedding reception in Dungarvan within the hour. Eventually, after a 10/15 min. wait we did get access to a room. Just a small hitch but very annoying at the time! On Sunday morning we found that the service for breakfast was a little on the slow side initiallly (perhaps due to the numbers of diners?) but this soon altered and we were looked after very well. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The in-room services were good. However, some of the bathroom fixtures could do with an uplift. The Staff were pleasant and most obliging. Pricewise, excellent value and a beautiful location. Would not hesitate to go back again! This was our second stay in this hotel. Rating - Four Star!
hotel was clean, staff were nice location was okay ,hard to get parking as there were people who lived in the apartments sharing the same car park rooms were clean but very warm and no way to ajust heating.Good for couples and hens /stags but families should look else were as there is no pool.
I stayed here with my husband for one night, I would consider this as a tourist class hotel, it is convenient for sightseeing in Waterford. The hotel is very tired and in need of a complete fit out. Our room was very basic and stuffy with no air conditioning. The carpets are old and saggy. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, we were surprised by the quality of the food and the staff were lovely, but the condition of the restaurant area left a lot to be desired. If your not bothered by the the tired decor its fine. but I would definitely not be returning.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Waterford Marina Hotel, it was real value for money. We have 3 Children and they all enjoyed their holiday. The Hotel room was very clean and spacious. There was complimentry newspapers every morning and evening from reception. The staff were really friendly and helpful, escecially with the children. After breakfast the kids were given bread to feed the swans that were on the river outside the hotel. The food was excellent and we will definately be going back next year. The hotel is right in the centre of Waterford, it only took a few minutes to walk into the town and there was a fab park right across the road from the hotel, with two fab play grounds for the kids. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to Waterford.
We had a lovely stay at the Waerford Marina Hotel. It is a lovely little hotel, tucked away in a quiet side street a few minutes walk from the city and the quays. We stayed in a family room with our two children which was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was really lovely with a great selection of everything. Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. There was also a park across the road from the hotel which had two fantastic play grounds for the kids. The hotel overlooked the River Suir and the staff gave the kids some bread every day to feed the swans - they had a great time! Bar food was good and the menu varied and good value. We stayed for two nights and it was great value. Only for the Lidl Breaks we would never have found this hotel. We'll definitely go back.

We had a great stay. We jst stayed for one night.The room was clean and a great size.It had a riversde view as requested.The breakfast was absolutely super value and great tasting! The only thing that we felt let us down slightly,was the residents bar. We arrived at about 3.01am and we could not get a late drink! apparently the bar closes at 3.00am.This is totally understandable but nobody had let us know in advance.A warning at check-in would suffice. Staff were all friendly and nice.An enjoyable stay overall. And great value for money.Thankyou Lidal Breaks. Cheers.

we found the staff very friendly.the room was lovely.we had planned on having dinner out but on checking the menue in the bar we were able to have dinner for e10.00 each for one course.we felt in general that our 3 night package was good value and we would recommend it.

Excellent hotel,nice location,best seafood,beautifully cooked I have ever had in Irish restaurant. Very friendly staff. Excellent music in the bar at night. wonderful room with great river views and very comfortable. Thanks to Linda for fixing this room to meet our request. Will cetainly return again. Our 2nd Lidl break in 3 months ope there will be more great offers---our tourist trade should be very grateful to LIDL Big Thanks to all Bill & Phyllis Bunratty
I can not fault this hotel in any way. The staff are very friendly and helpfull, the rooms are spotless clean and the food was lovely. It is about 5 minutes walk into the city center and there is a phone available at reception (free of charge) to book taxis.. I would def recommend this hotel for a city break. its basic but lovely.

Stayed in the Waterford Marina Hotel with my husband for a weekend some weeks back.We found it a joy,very relaxing,and the food was first class.The staff were very nice,and the rooms were spotless.We will be going back there in the future. Bernadette Lawlor, Dublin 10.
We would like to rate this hotel and the experience encountered... 5 stars. The service was excellent and friendly. The food again was excellent and the rooms were very comfortable etc. A wonderful break away and we can not recommend this hotel highly enough.
Everything as it should be, friendly staff,clean bedding and good location
The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar on the evening we arrived, we could choos from the bar or A La Carte menu, thruthfully there was not much of a choice on either. The food was very poor and tasteless. The steak was very dry and fatty, it seemed to have been cooked most of the day and then reheated. The breakfast next morning was very nice. Would be a great hotel if they can improve on the bar/A La Carte foods.
We had a lovely stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was good and location is perfect. He who matters say that they sell the best pint of the black stuff he has had in a long time. The selection in the very comfortable bar was great and again the staff were lovely. My request for a lake view was honoured. No complaints
