Staff where great and where able to give us an early check-in at 12 noon. Breakfast lovely

Carmel scored 3 / 5 on 28/06/2023

There is a car park now and it charges €2.50 per hour. The overnight is supposed to be €10 but I was charged €12.

Jimmy scored 5 / 5 on 27/02/2023

Great hotel, great staff, great drinks selection and great food selection. Bedrooms are nice and big with comfortable beds. Breakfast was really nice.

Clean hotel, quiet pleasent stay, fantastic staff. Breakfast very good choice and plenty of choice, bar food limited choice, but good standard

Louise scored 3 / 5 on 08/12/2022

We used the Hotel as a base to do some Xmas things around Dublin. The staff in the Hotel were very welcoming and friendly particularly towards our 2 small children. We only had Breakfsst in the hotel but it was a lovely breakfast, loads of choice, very fresh and it catered for all dietary requirements. The Gluten free table was particularly well displayed. The restaurant itself was lovely, loads of space and very clean. The breakfast chef was so lovely to the kids. She offered them Nutella pancakes which they loved ????????

Stephanie scored 5 / 5 on 28/11/2022

Fantastic experience, great breakfast, comfy beds - nothing to complain about with the exception of getting a text at 7.08am telling me that I could checkout online. I was hoping to have a lie in seeing as it was the weekend but definitely would go back and stay there and great location also.

Elizabeth scored 4 / 5 on 16/11/2022

The hotel was excellent value for money so much so that we could justify the taxi fare into the city centre where we had booked a show. Even adding on this cost still brought price well under what it would have cost closer to town. The room was spotless and surprisingly large. Breakfast was excellent. The bar is lovely and staff extremely pleasant however its a very busy hotel and there were quite a lot of families staying so if its a relaxed, quiet, stay you need its probably not ideal. It suited us perfectly for what we wanted.

Maggie scored 4 / 5 on 15/11/2022

Lovely hotel, great staff, beautiful food and so easy to get to, definitely will be back ????

Karon scored 3 / 5 on 14/11/2022

Took too long for them to find our booking took nearly half an hour. They looked for screen shot of my bank account for proof of payment after I'd shown them proof.

Jeannette scored 4 / 5 on 09/11/2022

This was our first time staying in this hotel. Location was just perfect as we planned to take the Luas from the red cow to the Point Theatre. Hotel so very easy to find and just a few minutes from the Luas line, and has an Aldi directly next door so ideal if you forget any essentials. Very spacious and secure car park. So easy to check and and the hotel has an online check in portal. Reception staff were so lovely on arrival, very smiley and welcoming. Hotel room was very spacious just for the 2 of us, spotlessly clean and smelled amazing. Had everything a traveller could need and want. Had a lovely Nespresso "like" coffee machine in the room which is a bonus. Bed was just so very comfortable, had an really great nights sleep. Shower pressure was fantastic, and no issues with temperature. There was no noise and hard to believe you were staying next to the M50. Dining room for breakfast was so lovely, pretty décor and very clean. There was just so much food, an absolute feast for the eyes!! Again staff were just so lovely. This is a new favourite location for us and will definitely use again when travelling to Dublin.

Deirdre scored 4 / 5 on 18/10/2022

Speedy check-in, such friendly staff, nice bar area (drinks and food a bit expensive). The best part was the breakfast. My kids thought it was the nicest hotel breakfast, such welcoming staff, great choices all stocked. Would return for just the breakfast!

Darren scored 3 / 5 on 03/10/2022

Fairly basic hitel, clean and efficient, exactly what we wanted...staff very friendly, although €20 per hour for late check out (used to be noon now 11am) bit steep

John scored 5 / 5 on 11/09/2022

Well done to all the staff on duty during my stay. All were friendly and pleasant to deal with including Chelsii at reception and all the staff at breakfast. I also enjoyed to good mood coming from the team in bar on Wednesday evening. Rooms were clean and comfortable so no complaint there either. Bedroom accomodation carpets did look a little tired (& some stains) but this is just a small observation that I hope is useful. Thank you JK Roscommon

Noleen scored 4 / 5 on 07/09/2022

Sara Jane scored 3 / 5 on 22/08/2022

Great hotel for a family of 2 adults and 2 children with a baby. Brought own next to me crib. Got a room with 2 double beds. Down on ground floor. 178 didn't hear a thing and slept the two nights. Food in bar was top notch best I had in ages. Unfortunately breakfast let the hotel down. It was horrible. Watery eggs, poor sausages etc. Service wasn't great. Would return again but maybe on room only basis..

Martina scored 5 / 5 on 22/08/2022

Aidan scored 3 / 5 on 16/08/2022

Check In - Reception was friendly but give no extra information Room - Ok , Very Basic Bathroom - Very run down and dangerous. The sink has a large crack , tiles on the wall have cracks, grout around the shower dirty. But most dangerous of all cracked tiles on the floor. When I got out of the shower in the morning, I stepped out and sliced my foot on the broken tiles. My foot was bleeding and sliced. Absolutely no assistance offered when I reported it to Reception , they said sorry. As we had to rush off in the morning early, I did not have time to ask for a manager, we did not have time to wait Dinner in the bar - very busy, staff member that served was very very busy rushing around while others seemed to be doing nothing. Staff need more training Breakfast was like disorganised chaos - went down at 7.30 am Overall - would not stay again

Helen scored 4 / 5 on 11/08/2022

Good food and room very nice. Lovely hotel for stopover and as its close to motorway. Also good for kids. Very happy.

Susan scored 5 / 5 on 08/08/2022

Lovely stay, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Very clean, couldn't fault the hotel. One recommendation: I would make the porridge when requested instead of having it out, as it had a skim on top from sitting in the container and did not look very appetizing.

Martina scored 4 / 5 on 08/08/2022

We stayed at this hotel (Newlands Cross) for 1 night as we were going to the airport the next day to pick up our son. We were very happy with the room , the food and the very friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant and bar. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to stay again very soon.

Our room was big enough and comfortable and people stayed in the room next to ours and we couldn't hear them at all which is very good thing. The breakfast was excellent was a wide choice of food staff was pleasant and worked fast. Dinner was not so bad nothing special but not expensive. Staff was extremely nice!

Martina scored 4 / 5 on 25/07/2022

Stayed in The Newlands cross Hotel for 1 night found the staff at the reception very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean, lots of room and the beds are very comfortable and the only noise we could hear was the traffic on the roads but that's to be expected. Next morning we were greeted by very friendly staff in the restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast was devine loads to eat and great selection of self service food. Would recommend and would stay again.

Tim scored 3 / 5 on 24/07/2022

All good. Hotel itself pretty OK. Staff are amazing. They worked under pressure almost all of the time but managed to be polite, cheerful, and efficiently. Well done. I hope they are being paid well. They are the biggest reason to return here

Lynda scored 5 / 5 on 18/07/2022

Lovely clean hotel. All staff lovely especially in the bar. Room shiny clean and food in bar beautiful. Very handy to get too and great to have free parking. Right beside Aldi which is handy with children you always need a few sweets for the room!! Great idea of recycling bins in the corridor for us to throw any empty water bottles etc into. Will definitely stay again.

Margaret scored 3 / 5 on 18/07/2022

Staff and hotel were lovely. No complaints at all. Food was ok ... typical hotel food with usual prices. Just a personal preference that hotels work on replacing carpets with wood or tile floors. Not specific to this hotel...just a wish for all hotels

Rodin scored 5 / 5 on 18/07/2022

Absolutely It was fabulous In all aspects. Thanks a million.

Lizzie scored 5 / 5 on 12/07/2022

Ann scored 3 / 5 on 07/07/2022

Reception very poor, also being charged full price even though deposit had been paid,my son was charged and had to wait till following morning to get a refund even though we had all details on our email.on the other hand food was delicious

Rebecca scored 3 / 5 on 03/07/2022

The hotel was nice, clean and fairly modern. Our room was good, basic but comfy. We had B&B and the breakfast was not great. They had advertised plant based options, but this wasn't the case. There were baked beans, and some cereals but we had to ask multiple times for non-dairy milk. Definitely not worth paying for breakfast if you're vegan. The hotel is right by the busy road but we didn't have trouble sleeping, and it was an easy way into the city (bit of a trek though) and affordable by today's standards

Margaret scored 3 / 5 on 29/06/2022

Great value for money

Fiona scored 3 / 5 on 27/06/2022

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, very clean, great options for breakfast. Only negative is bar closed very early considering we were residents..

Karla scored 2 / 5 on 25/06/2022

Bed was comfy, but it was noisy at night with other people staying banging doors. Breakfast was a disaster, good selection of food, but tea, coffee and milk was all gone, asked a member of staff that the coffee needed re-filling they acknowledged me then walked off, never returning, one of the managers walked passed and asked if all was ok, he said to sit down and he would bring a coffee over. We went to get a seat but 70% of tables were gone, not because other people were sat down, but because these tables all had dirty breakfast ware left on them, finally found a clean table, not one person came around in the 15/20 mins we were sat there to clean dirty tables around us, would not recommend.

Avril scored 4 / 5 on 25/06/2022

Becky scored 2 / 5 on 13/06/2022

We arrived on time for check in, the hotel systems were down and were advised we would have to wait. We waited however were advised food was also not being served until after 3pm. We waited further but as we were on a time limit as we had to leave the hotel at 5pm to attend a concert and needed to get ready I spoke with staff members who agreed to manually check me in, I understand this happens from time to time but when we did eventually get checked in there were no towels in the room, no towels of any kind. The room was also not as clean as we would have like as there were some stains on the head board and walls. I understand it was a very busy day and issues had occurred however the cleanliness of the room overall could have been better.

Aine scored 3 / 5 on 08/06/2022

Katie scored 1 / 5 on 13/04/2022

Sink was leaking, was given a few extra towels to dry it up but no one followed up to see was it OK, fire alarm went off twice during the night which resulted in my baby being awake for ages, NOBODY even acknowledged the disturbance the following morning at breakfast or checkout. Very disappointing, will not be staying again. Ramona, the waitress, was lovely though!

Nicola scored 5 / 5 on 12/04/2022

On making the booking, I had requested a room near a lift as my wife finds it difficult to walk long distance. Unfortunately, we were given a room furthest away from the lift. We decided not to bring it to the attention of the hotel, as we were spending very little time there.

This is a busy hotel. Check in was busy but efficient and we were checked in by a nice male receptionist. The room was lovely comfortable, bright and airy with two double beds. The only disappointment was the room service food we were looking forward to having. We ordered two Asian noodle dishes at €17.00 each and a portion of fries at €4.50. The room service arrived on a tiny tray with 2 small Chinese cartons which looked like they ran across the street to the local Chinese restaurant and picked them up! The chips were on a carboard container like you would find at Supermacs. Very disappointed, I expected at least a plate to eat from at the prices charged, the fries were crispy, dry and overcooked. All in all not worth what we paid plus the €5 delivery charge on top. When I mentioned it to the waiter that I was expecting plates, he said that's how it comes and made no offer to bring plates, he was only interested in collecting the cash for the food. All the breakfast staff we encountered were lovely and the breakfast was of a good standard in a nice restaurant setting.

We stayed for just one night after Christmas. From the moment we stepped into the hotel until the moment we left everything was perfect. Staff was friendly, hotel was warm and clean. Our family room was warm, clean, spacious and most importantly with kids, so quiet. Staff at breakfast was very friendly. There was ample variety of food and tasted fantastic too! All in all we would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Stayed on Saturday 19th November and to be honest we were glad it was only for 1 night. Hotel would need a facelift or freshened up. Our room smelt musty and the bed was very uncomfortable so much so we did not sleep. On a positive note the breakfast was extremely good. Would We return - sorry no.

Ellie scored 1 / 5 on 22/11/2016

Stayed there last weekend on a shopping trip - have to say I would hightly recommend this hotel - food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were perfect with two double beds and very clean

Sharon scored 3 / 5 on 16/11/2016

Although the beds were comfortable I was disappointed with the reception staff at check in. We arrived late at midnight from our flight and had confirm this with the hotel prior to arrival. The staff on reception were not friendly or helpful. The carpark was full and we needed parking and the reception staff took no interest in assisting us. We also requested two adjacent rooms, these were on different floors which made it difficult.for us. The breakfast was average and the 'fry' was very greasy. We've stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the years and will be considering alternatives for the future.

Hi, Stayed for two nights B & B + 4 dinners recently. The all-in price was very reasonable by other hotel charges and the rooms were also very comfortable. The Hotel seems to cater for a very mixed group of travellers with a lot of Budget type guest activity happening during our stay. All-in-all good value for money - the breakfast was excellent - the dinners on the other hand only reasonable.

Siobhan scored 5 / 5 on 24/08/2016

My friend and I stayed in the Maldron on Sun 21st Aug as we were playing golf in Beech Park Golf Club on Monday morning. What a pleasant stay we had. We were greeted by a kind, courteous, pleasant gentleman named Artur. We ate in the restaurant on Sunday evening and received a fabulous meal, served by kind friendly staff. Our room was spacious, bright and spotlessly clean and had two beautiful comfortable beds. Breakfast next morning was superb with everything one could ask for. We certainly hope to stay here again and had no complaints whatsoever. Siobhan & Mary (Galway).

My husband and myself stayed for one night. The bedroom was of a good standard, nicely presented. The couch and easy chairs, a plus for me. The breakfast was noteworthy in the choice of dishes - my favourite part of the stay. The hotel staff came across as pleasant and friendly. The Dining Room supervisor (?), in my opinion, is in a league of her own. She was most welcoming - a big smile for all, immediately putting us at our ease. I noticed at one stage she was clearing away the tables. Her professionalism was obvious. We have stayed in the hotel in the past, as well as other family members; no doubt this will continue. The star rating would have been higher due the disruption with the renovations and poor signage at the temporary entrance. Regards MARY KEANE

I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel! Friendly staff at check-in, restaurant and bar. I especially liked the free parking and free RSVP magazine in our room along with breakfast available until midday. Had dinner on the night of our stay which was rather enjoyable despite having read some previous negative reviews. Very attentive staff and relaxed environment. The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas with each table in the restaurant having it's own centrepiece. Got a peaceful night's sleep and stayed here as went to see Kodaline in the 3Arena. Was a 15min walk to the Red Line Luas which I did not mind as it was not raining! Got a taxi on the way home from Red Cow stop back to the hotel which cost €8. My only negative comment was being charged €2 for a bag of Keogh crisps in the bar!!!.......I thought it was a bit steep but I would definitely stay here again as handy to slip onto the M50 in the morning. Enjoyable overnight stay.

Stayed here for two nights Dec 4th & 5th. Room was clean and cozy. The staff were very friendly and professional. We had dinner in the restaurant on the sat night to celebrate a birthday, there was 10 of us and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The food was delicious. I would definitely stay here again. Also Its also only a 20 min walk to the lusas.

The bed room was fine with no complaints! The evening dinner was terrible, my steak was appalling my friends salmon meal was poor too. We were charged for teas and coffee when our package had them included in the price. The restaurant was freezing cold. Given that our evening meal had been so poor (the poorest by far in memory and I am 46 years old) I would say the breakfast was surprisingly very tasty!! If I had not had the dinner I would be very happy with this hotel. It would not necessarily put me of staying again but I certainly would not have the evening meal.

we stayed for one night and found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was buffet and of very high quality. However the Hotel itself is looking tired and need of a revamp.

Our family group of three booked 2 rooms, requesting non smoking. we were given room 228 and 230. however on arrival to room 228, we found it smelled badly of old cigerette smoke, like a publican house. we simply couldnt stay there as it made me feel sick. The receiptionist offered us a choice of two other rooms on the same floor so we could stay close by our adult daughter. we appreciated the offer to change rooms.we stayed in 230 & 237. room 237 was better but did not smell as fresh as 230. Check- in did take longer than usual as reception was busy and changing rooms delayed even more. rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was tasty and plentyful.

when we arrived in our room the xtra bed was broken and we had to call maintenance. The staff were very friendly and helpful with this and also in the restaurant where we had lovely food . However the hotel is in need of refurbishment, a lot of the seats in the bar were broken and there was s horrendous smell of sewerage, there was a stale smell in the bedroom aswell!!

Reception staff weren't very friendly, long queue to check in on arrival which was very slow, room was extremely warm which made it very uncomfortable to try sleep couldn't leave window open because of noise, bed wasn't great either!! Only one roll of toilet roll!! Maid walked in without even knocking at aroun 10.30am which is very unprofessional even though we didn't have the still snoozing sign on the door they should have still knocked!!! I would say this hotel is below standard and wouldn't stay again! One good thing was the food was lovely and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful...

We stayed in your Hotel last Friday night and nothing but good things to say about it. Directions were spot on. Check in was fast and the girls were very attentive and friendly, especially with our 2 kids. There was a great choice for breakfast and the buffet was speedy. Again the girls were very courteous in the Breakfast room. I would highly recommend your hotel. Easy to find and convenient for Dublin City

We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and dinner was just wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable and the value for money was just great. There was a great atmosphere in the bar that night too and we wouldn't think twice about going back there again for a longer stay. Geographically speaking it's great for going all around Dublin. Because we have children the only thing that's missing is a pool but then again I think it gears itself for the more short term stay for which it could not be better.

Stayed here before and booked through Today FM - nice hotel and centrally located for us to amenities that we needed. We stayed an extra night as well as it suited us. Nice enough hotel and reception staff were nice especially the polish lady who was very sick during our duration but always had a smile and was very professional. We were lazy in the mornings and were glad of the late serving until 12pm of breakfast. Can't fault the place really but have stayed in the Green Isle with leisure facilities and prefer that - more time for relaxing but this suited our needs this time as the Green Isle was not available. Very busy hotel and would stay again if we cant get Green Isle. Beds were small but nothing to complain about really as they were comfortable.

Stayed in bewleys on Saturday 28th Feb on a B&B basis. It was very comfortable. Bar food was very tasty and well presented. Reception and restaurant staff very friendly and welcoming. Entertainment in the bar which was enjoyed by all. Majority of bar staff very friendly. One bar person in particular was very rude to us when we ordered drinks which resulted in us leaving the bar and retiring to our room. It ruined the weekend somewhat for us.

We had a 2 night break there recently. All the staff were very friendly helpful. The food wasn't great the first night but much better the second night so perhaps there was a different chef on duty the 2nd. night. The décor wasn't as up 2 date as the other Bewley's hotels as we have stayed in them all.For over-all value I still recommend the Bewleys chain.Star rating two

room was very clean, and the bed was very comfy.could not fault the room, but the food was very poor. the portions were small, the potatoes were cold and the steak that i paid 5e extra for was due to be medium but im afraid you could use it as shoe leather.the road works outside the hotel are very off putting .fine for a budget stay but not for a luxury stay away.

Stayed for 2 nights in Bewleys 23rd Feb 2014. Lovely and friendly !!! Fine spacious rooms :) Food gorgeous would definetly stay again. Parking quite expensive if shopping in Dublin. Would recommend getting bus to the city ( Num 13) Come out of hotel turn left 2nd right at the lights you can catch the bus to the city from the bus shelter. On return to Bewleys you can catch the 13 bus outside Burger King (Gresham Hotel side) bus drops off at the lights 2 minute walk from Bewleys. If unsure ask Bus Driver before partaking your journey........... Ann M Cork City:)

We stay quite often in Bewleys Hotel and are very happy with the hotel but this time we were on the bottom floor close to an area that all the linen (sheets pillow cases) for the whole hotel is taken in and distribute from there as a result early morning was very noisy we were awoke very early because of that. At check out I said it to reception and they said they made a note on our details so it would not happen again and we would get a room on a different floor we will see. Gerry

We have stayed in this hotel many many many times before and have always had a very good experience. On a previous occasion was checked in by a lady called Ramuna, who was quite abrupt in her manner and queried my booking by telling me that she doubted the deal I had. On Saturday last when checking in I was put through the very same procedure and had to produce all my documentation to prove same. I had requested a large family room, and when we went into the room it was very small and pokey. I went back down and Fiona, who was extremely nice and helpful allocated another room to us. I have always enjoyed my stays here, and would like to return but I do think that the attitude of Ramuna to customers leaves a lot to be desired.

Dinner was lovely, service in the resturaunt was excellent and room was nice and big.For breakfast next morning we asked for room service which brought a continental style breakfasst of Brown breat, fruit danish, cereal, scones and OJ, which was lovely, and we also had vouchers for a full Irish downstairs. Overall was very happy with our stay and look forward to staying again :)

VALUE FOR MONEY - WELL WORTH WHAT I PAID FOR IT. VERY SPACIOUS FAMILY ROOM 2XDOUBLE BEDS AND 1XSINGE BED FOR 2 ADULTS AND 2 KIDS UNDER 6. VERY NICE BREAKFAST THE FOLLOWING MORNING CATERED FOR ALL NEEDS. AS PER A PREVIOUS REVIEW - NOT ENOUGH SOCKET OUTLETS IN THE ROOM (FOR KIDS DVD PLAYER) AND LIKE MOST HOTELS IN THE WORLD THE SHOWER WAS NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH. CLOSE TO TOWN AND THE LUAS - IDEAL FOR A TRIP TO THE ZOO.

Enjoyed our stay very much at Bewleys. Room was nice and clean and breakfast very good. The fact the breakfast went on til 12.30 was very enticing for someone wanting to have a lie-on. only fault was that we found the room quite warm and then when the window was open it was hard to sleep with the noise of the traffic. Found the lidl rate excellent value.

Courtney scored 3 / 5 on 07/06/2011

Hotel very easy to find and has a very high standard of room but would fault the breakfast setup, as I was on a family break (2 Adults & 2 Kids) it was not suitable. Having to juggle a tray with everything on it all at the one time (Hot food, cereal, tea etc. on a tray). Also stayed in the new extension and the WIFI signal would need to be boosted...

John scored 2 / 5 on 23/05/2011

Bewleys Hotel is ok for one night. I do not like the way they measure out the breakfast items and asking you for 20cent for a little jam at breakfast (you get this free every were else) is just ridicules. Would I stay there again only if I had to? The night I stayed I had to as I was at a party there I would reat it as a two star at best.

I found my stay there ok . The staff were very friendly and very good at there job . If you plan on staying a few nights make sure you get your breakfast included or it could be very expensive. It's located in a good spot and is very handy if your going to dublin . Has a lidle and a spar as well a an indian and other takeways near by . Be warned if your warm blooded you may find the rooms get very stuffy and the window dose not open very far . Showers can be very tempermentle if there is alot of people staying you may not get a propper hot shower. Has no activeites for kids so they may get bored. Walls are thin so if your naghbors come in late you'll no about it.

The only problem we had when we arrived was that they did not appear to have my reservation, had it not been for the fact that I had my booking confirmation from yourselves I would not have been able to prove that I had in fact booked approximately a month beforehand. I had booked a twin room and was disapointed to have been given a room that consisted of a bed and sofa bed - a twin room is a room with two beds. The reception staff then changed us to a room with two beds, but this room turned out not to have been serviced, evidence of the previous residents was to say the least, everywhere. Third time lucky, our room was comfortable, the meal was hearty and we had a very good nights sleep. Thanks.
