fifteen minutes from New Ross.
Area Description :
Carrauig an Urradh, meaning, "the Rock of Chief Leaders" is the highest point of Slieverue parish where the Hotel is situated. A large cross was erected there in 1950 in honour of the Holy Year standing 28ft with an arm span of 12ft. It can be seen to the north side of the hotel.
The SS Dunbrody heritage ship is located in New Ross and is an accurate full sized recreation of the ship which played a leading part in 19th century emigration to the USA. Board the ship and walk in the footsteps of a group of Irish Famine Emigrants on their journey of hope across the Atlantic Ocean. Go below and enter the confined spaces which would be home for passengers and crew for the 45 day voyage.
i stayed at the rhu gleen hotel for 2 night staff were every helpful hotel very clean. staff cleaning tables in bar all the time food was great i would stay there again
Very friendly and cosy atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.
Bit out of the way but ideal for touring the hook area. Staff very friendly. Lovely fresh hake on the nite we were there.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent and serving staff were very friendly.
Staff lovely hotel very clean and food lovely only down fall was bed was very uncomfortable could do with new mattress had sore neck and back after
Loved it, the food was amazing, the room was spotless, staff were very nice sbd I would go back no problem
The staff were just lovely very friendly and nothing you asked was any trouble, the food was amazing lovely dinners & breakfast was brilliant all freshly cook. The whole hotel was spotless . Very near Waterford city
We loved this Hotel a bit out on its own but only 5 mins away from Waterford City, fantastic food, lovely staff, nice and clean, we will definitely return ..
The rooms were very basic and small and very noisy (on the main road) The bar and food service was very poor (staff very young with no direction) The breakfast was good and bar menu left a lot to be desired. In the middle of nowhere, no where to walk or go to on foot. Nice garden area.
Staff was friendly but hotel needs reimbursement.
Service was first class.Staff were friendly and helpful.Food was first class and reasonably priced. At breakfast we were given two jugs of milk, one colder for our cornflakes and an extra tea bag just in case w liked our tea stronger .You wouldn't get that service in some of the 5 star hotels .The tables in the breakfast area could have been bigger to house all cutlery cups etc. but with Covid they were doing the best they could to keep people apart.Corridor we were on got a bit noisy from 7.15 with staff working but maybe it was a ploy to get us up in time for breakfast .10 out of 10 to the Rue Glen Hotel .This was our second time here and and will be back P.G
Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff, great food and very clean
Basic room...Bit grubby in bathroom. Staff at reception not very friendly. Good location..food ok...breakfast finished very early...by 10.30 so missed it each morning. Wouldn't be enthusiastic bout staying here again
Lovely charming hotel, staff we great under difficult circumstances, the rooms could do with modernisation but were spotless.
Great hotel, very friendly staff, great food we ate here every night of our stay it was perfect for my fussy eaters it was like a nice home cooked dinner. Clean towels everyday. I'm very impressed with The Rhu Glenn Hotel
Lovely hotel with great food and the nicest staff you could ask for. Highly recommended
Lovely charming hotel, staff we great under difficult circumstances, the rooms could do with modernisation but were spotless.
lovely place, good food and very friendly staff we are going back next week it was such a nice place to visit.
Breakfast times are not suitable for leisure trips finish too early at 10am even though they advertise outside with no time restrictions for passing traffic
Lovely hotel really friendly staff. As I am coeliac I was delighted they had lovely gluten free bread and a good selection on the menu that I could have. Have already booked another stay there immediately after arriving home!
This hotel is classed as a 3 star but our 4 night stay felt like a 5 star hotel break. The management and entire staff were extremely professional and helpful. The food and resteurant service was excellent. Our room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. Thankyou to all the staff at the Rhu Glenn who made our anniversary holiday break so memorable.
Lovely place. Staff and atmosphere were lovely. Place is a little dated, but really clean. Food was gorgeous. Wouldn't thoroughly recommend.
Great little hotel, very friendly and helpful staff.
Was immaculate staff excellent food brilliant really enjoyed our time there would recommend it to anyone
Staff very friendly and polite. Food good and price good, hotel clean and covid friendly
Very good value and everything was well managed in the present "covid" circumstances and we felt comfortable with the social distancing arrangements. Room was spacious and spotless.
Very well run.
Was a lovely hotel staff were very friendly breakfast was lovely
Have stayed here many times now and the service , welcome , food and hospitality keep getting better.Would have to describe The Rhu Glenn as a home away from home. Whilst the decor is done in an older style it's what gives the hotel that cosy feel. Everything about The Rhu Glenn from start to finish is first class. From the food to the customer service and indeed the effort from all the staff to make your stay as enjoyable as possible i would rate this establishment as one of the best i have stayed in. Dave O'Connor
very nice hotel, had a grt stay food was lovely ,nice staff, only problem we had was been charged too much for kids breakfeast and 3 euro a glass of mik for baby bottle.
Good food, friendly staff.
Great value friendly staff great to get breakfast served to you
Everything was super and will def be going bacVery friendly staff and brill food.
Quite good though bar entertainment was a little less than expected...
We stayed at the Rhu Glenn Hotel on Saturday 29th August. The hotel is very comfortable and we had a very good nights sleep, which we don't always get in hotels. We were at the front of the hotel but did not hear any noise. We had dinner in the restaurant and this was very good. Breakfast was lovely, much prefer the cook to order than the buffet. Staff were helpful and friendly, all in all a good night away. Only one small gripe was that we were told there was music in the bar but unfortunately there wasn't. Very good value for money.
Excellent
hotel was good food great service to but last year was locked out and couldnt get an answer on the phone if we had been in a taxi we would have been in trouble fortunately my parents dropped us off. this year was ok but I think they should have a night porter for people attending functions otherwise the hotel is fine toni
every thing was to the highest standard and we will call again
very enjoyable stay staff lovely food great
Had a lovely two night break with my mother & daughter. Staff very friendly. Rooms very clean, if a little dated. Our room was away from the busy road so we did not hear a thing at night. Food lovely. The only downfall was that we stayed on a cold May weekend and neither the fire in the bar or in the foyer were lit and so it was very cold in both locations. The bedrooms did have heat.
loved it - staff brilliant - myself and the girls totally relaxed - just what we needed. Staff fab and food plentiful and gorgeous. no sleep as cars up and down the road all night - but what can you do ...... handy to get too and a big warm fire waiting for us. Gerbals .
Very quite location, room basic but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially waitress in restaurant. Just a 5 min drive from waterford-very handy!!
Good hotel for good value.
Very pleasant surroundings, staff, and excellent food in quality, quantity and price! Would (and will soon) happily book to stay again. (I took off 1 star because of people partying in the room next to us until 1:45am, and staff simply said when I commented next morning: "Oh, 1:45am - that's early!")
Excellent valuefor money. It had the personal touch which made usfeel very welcome. Very clean and comfortable.Social dancing there was a treat. Would highly recommend it and I look forward to returning there again myself in the near future. Margaret.
Many thanks to Lidl once again we had a brilliant time in the Rhu Glenn last weekend. From the moment we arrived until we checked out we couldnt have asked for more, the room was lovely food was excellent, and staff were so friendly and helpful .We met quite a few people that have been going there for years so all in all that speaks volumes. From two very satisified customers
We stayed at this Hotel for the third time recently and as always it was great. The Management and staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is great and the weekend entertainment is excellent. Would recommend Rhu Glenn Country Club Hotel to everybody. Will be back there soon. The Lidl Breaks are great value for money. Well done. Mary & Michael Kildare
The hotel is very well maintained throughout meals are excelent only fault is if staying in the frount of the hotel the traffic can be heard excellent value
We stayed for 3 nights from August 26th, the hotel was excellent, lovely room, great food, friendly staff, only ten minutes to Waterford City and a short drive to Tramore, Will stay there again, the Lidl breaks are great value, well done, thanks.

Well, we, my husband and myself cannot praise the Rhu Glenn Hotel in Waterford, enough, from the moment we drove into the grounds of the hotel, to the moment that we left it, our complete stay was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean and cosy, and there was a beautiful view from the two windows that were in our room looking out over lovely green fields and so peaceful! Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we would say that it was one of the nicest and cleanest hotels that we have stayed in over many years! Our rating would definitely be 5 star, without a doubt! Also we found the Lidl Breaks offer brilliant and so easy to organise and very, very reasonable, more people should definitely try one out! Well done one and all! Cathy Barry
