I am originally from Tralee . I live in Galway. I always stay there when I go to Tralee. I love the place I had my wedding breakfast there over 59 years ago So I just love the place. The staff and the bar.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Meadowlands Hotel. Attention to covid 19 regulations in relation to the safety of patrons top class. Breakfast menu a delight with such a variety. Staff welcoming and helpful. We extended to a second night. Well done Management and Staff
Lovely hotel staff are friendly and the food was great. Relaxing place to spend a few days
Beautiful Hotel, near city centre, great staff and excellent Covid safety regulations. Parking great and cleanliness 100%. Super food, enjoyed our stay. Thank you all.
Beautiful hotel, lovely warm welcome, cosy rooms spotlessly clean, fantastic food, lovely friendly staff, really enjoyed would definitely return
Lovely hotel very friendly staff and very helpful. Great location short walk into tralee. Would go back to stay again sometime in future
lovely hotel on outskirts of town, receptionist helen was very helpful and the bedroom was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good but bar food was a bit pricy and service was slow, would stay here again when in tralee
Great food lovely atmosphere rooms were fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay.
I booked this as a gift for my daughter and her fiance to celebrate their engagement. They both had a lovely time and were impressed that they got a freshly cooked breakfast! Both of them would stay again
Great value, good location in relation to the town centre (1 m), great breakfast, nicely decorated rooms/good size & very friendly staff. Would recommend and would visit again.
FABULOUS HOTEL WITH ASTOUNDING INTERNAL DECOR. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, GOOD FOOD AND GENEROUS ROOM FACILITIES. HOWEVER, AN HOTEL OF THIS QUALITY SHOULD HAVE A LEISURE CENTRE AND THERE APPEARS TO BE A LOT OF GROUNDS SURROUNDING THE HOTEL TO FACILITATE THE CONSTRUCTION OF SUCH A FACILITY HOWEVER LIMITED IN SIZE. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK
ewwwweeee
enjoyed my stay .very friendly staff .Food excellant ,highly recommend the MEADOWLANDS
great hotel. Staff excellent, room excellent and food excellent. Will be back
Just returned from a most relaxing weekend break in the Meadowlands Hotel,Bar Food + Breakfast Excellent, Staff very friendly,Nice atmosphere in bar,Hope to return again soon, Highly recommended
Excellent service in all areas Good breakfasts Great hotel bar with efficient staff Good barfood Large tidy and neat bedrooms
Enjoyable nights stay at the meadowlands, lovely staff and fab breakfast.
i recently stayed in medowlands hotel on a 2 night stay in a wheelchair room .the shower was inadaquate it had a step up to it .the room was dark it had a window which looked into another entrance of the hotel .the tv was small you would need binoculars to watch it .the room was clean the rest of the hotel was nicely decorated .the food was ok. the resturant was closed we had meals included in our package .we had to eat in the bar for the 2 nights which was ok .but we were handed same menu both nights not really resturant menu. no vegtables or potatoes on the menu just fries and salad .not really acceptable when you go on a hotel break with meals included .on first night we had some drinks which were warm we werent told till second night they were having a problem with there cooling system but we were still charged for our drinks on check out .i checked out the gallery of the rooms on hotel website and i feel the wheelchair room wasnt up to same standard.yes i would stay here again but not in wheelchair room.
We booked this on short notice for a very good price and were blown away by everything this hotel has to offer . The hotel staff were very friendly and looked after us for anything we asked. The rooms were very comfortable and the food was really nice. Breakfast was super . I would highly recommend the Meadowlands and will definitely stay again.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff, large clean bedrooms good food and good atmosphere in bar used by locals also. Would recommend and would book again
Great Hotel, newly refurbished and very comfortable. Lovely light décor with lots of seating areas to read etc. Ideal for a shopping trip or celebration etc over Christmas. Rooms clean everything you could need provided. Staff were really nice and helpful. The Chowder is lovely, our inclusive dinner was just beautiful. Lovely House wine by the glass or €22 a bottle. Busy hotel that seemed to have a lot of locals dining.- Always a good sign. Easy walk in to the town. Will be back, so cosy.
Really enjoyed our stay in the Meadowlands. We have stayed here several times and have always been very pleased. The room was very comfortable. We ate in the bar on Friday night and the food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. We will definitely go back.
Staff friendly .food in bar average breakfast was buffet and was cold had to send back toilet in bedroom broke wasn't fixed wasn't offered a different room no cold water in bedroom so had no shower or bath overall wouldn't stay again
The Meadowlands is a lovely hotel. The staff are lovely, professional and helpful. We just stayed one night but I wish it had been longer. The rooms are great, spacious yet cosy, the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, there was a lovely ambiance in the hotel as a whole. It was also very peaceful, nice and quiet at night, and a 20 minute walk to the town centre. What would have made it complete would be perhaps a bit of entertainment in the bar at night but all in all it was a lovely stay.
Excellent very welcoming
It was our 4th stay at the Meadowlands hotel. Enjoyed it, breakfast cooked to order and staff friendly. Room clean and spacious. Hotel located wtihin waking distance of town centre. Would highly recommend hotel and will definately be back .
Our stay in Meadowlands Hotel was most enjoyable and I would rate it very highly. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous and the hotel is well located within Tralee. I would strongly recommend it and we will definitely return. Fantastic Value and we were a family of 5.
We had a lovely weekend at this hotel. Family room was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection to choose from. Breakfast room was extremely busy due to the August weekend but staff were still very efficient. Helen on reception was extremely easy to deal with so welcoming from the minute we booked as we had a child in a wheelchair checking is there anything special we needed. This was a dream find for us as we always stay in the larger hotels. We found this smaller hotel more intimate and welcoming we will definitely be returning to this hotel.
Character filled and very well maintained.inside and out. Breakfast lovely. Meals in bar not recomended. Staff very nice anf=d helpful.
nice staff, very good breakfast, good location - highly recommended - Dawid from Dublin
Had a very enjoyable stay at Meadowlands Hotel, comfortable rooms, lovely food, and friendly staff. I will happily stay again soon.
We went to Tralee recently for a break with our grandkids and stayed here. We booked a family room and were delighted to be given a really spacious and cosy room. Instead of a single and pull-out that we normally get, the kids were really happy to have a single bed each. Breakfast each morning was great - lots of varieties so everyone was happy. We didn't have dinners at the hotel, but I would expect them to be up to the same high standard as breakfast. The reception and restaurant staff were all so helpful and friendly. Even with two energetic and lively kids with us, we felt very welcome and relaxed. We usually stay at another hotel when we visit Tralee, but next time we will definitely be looking to book here.
Our stay in the Meadowlands hotel was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food and waiter service was also excellent. I would gladly return again and recommend the hotel and experience to others. Cliff Colreavy
Lovely character filled hotel. Excellent customer service and comfortable rooms. Loved the nooks and crannies one could escape to for reading and relaxing in.
We had a lovely break in the Meadowlands Hotel. The room was very comfortable, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Marie and Peter
ENJOYED A REALLY RELAXING TIME IN THE MEADOW LANDS HOTEL, EVERYTHING 'SPOT ON' -STAFF COULD NOT BE NICER AND MORE HELPFULL,FOOD REALLY GOOD,BEDROOM VERY COMFORTABLE CLEAN AND WARM,RECEPTION AREA VERY WELCOMING.OK ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE CUPS ARE TOO SMALL FOR OUR LIKING - THAT IS NOT MUCH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.
lovely hotel great service only no music in hotel on bank holiday
Hi, stayed here in a family room. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff we're lovely, went the extra bit for rich tea biscuits for a 5 year old boy. Also got DVD player in the room with a selection of kids DVDs sent also. Breakfast was really good, all fresh and the staff here were excellent. Will be returning.
Good location, Restaurant staff very friendly & chatty. Food very good.
Lovely hotel, great location.the staff were really friendly and accomodating, especially the breakfast waiting staff who supplied an endless supply of pancakes to two very demanding customers, aged 8 and11 ! rooms were spacious,2 double beds,in the family room, also plenty toiletries in the bathroom including the thoughtful addition of bottled water. a good choice! also there is complimentary use of a nearby swimming pool for those wet afternoons.enjoy!
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, even the two children thought it was great especially as they could have pancakes for breakfast. It was clean, very comfortable beds and the staff were all very polite and helpful. With no pool we thought facilites would be further away but had complimentary swim very close by. The hotel is very central to shops and facilities but no exposure to traffic/noise so all in all a great place to stay and hope to be back again.
The hotel is delightful and the staff were more than helpful in particular Jerry who served our meal in the bar. I cannot express how much we appreciated his service. All in all our experience in the hotel was second to none and we will definitely visit again. Ciaran and Kathleen shanahan.
The rooms are beautiful with good facilities. Very clean small hotel. Very limited vegetarian options on menu especially at breakfast and this is a pity as everything else is great.
We stayed here over Oct bank holiday weekend with two girls aged 7 and 4. We were put in a room with 2 Queen size beds which suited us perfectly. The room was perfectly clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom included a separate bath and shower unit and was spotlessly clean. Overall the facilities in the hotel were kept to a very high standard. We had food in the pub on both evenings and the quality of it and the breakfast was very good, if a little pricey. The staff were excellent throughout the weekend with one of the bar staff even giving our 7 year old lessons in organizing the cutlery which she was delighted with. Overall our stay was excellent and was good value as a Lidl break and we would be happy to return again.
We stayed in the family room, very comfortable and plenty of space. Food excellent and friendly staff. Nice location, quiet but close to Tralee town centre.
Lovely hotel with a great atmosphere!the food in both the bar and restaurant was great!!very enjoyable stay!!
This hotel is definitely not a four star hotel unless they have lower standard rooms for lidl guests. The food in the restaurant was poor quality and the service wasn't great. We booked our table on check in and when we came down for dinner we had to wait for them to set up a table for us, we didn't get a wine menu and were brought the wrong drinks. The menu choices were very limited and the portions small. We also waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive. They did not come to check on us during the meal although they were very attentive towards another couple so I assume it was because of the deal we were on. I would not recommend this hotel.
Stayed at this Hotel for one night recently on a short visit to Tralee. Everything about this place is good. - The staff - The room & the bathroom - The breakfast !! - The bar Liked it so much I have arranged for my parents to go there for a little break. Can't say anymore. Tom Ryan.
Decent all round. Tastefully decorated bedrooms which were also very clean. Also, the hotel is complimented with lovely gardens. The breakfast was also an enjoyable experience. Kids had a great time, and spoke highly of our stay.
Really first class my wife is a coelic and they had no problem with it i would really recommend .it to anyone to stay there staff very helpful and friendly
Very happy with Meadowlands, A1. I will be back again.
Conveniently located on one of the main thoroughfares in/out of Tralee, within its own grounds which makes parking no problem whatsoever. It's about a 15 minute walk into the town centre. A fairly extensive building, 3 storeys high and maintained in very good condition in both the public and bedroom areas. The dining room is designed on a nautical theme, whilst the bar, which serves very good food is very typically Irish to me in that it comprises several semi-separate areas/levels which all adds to the character of the premises and comfort of the visitor. Staff were helpful and efficient and rooms sizeable, well maintained and comfortable. Would be happy to make a return visit.
Stayed two nights May bank holiday weekend with 18month old and were delighted with both the price and facilities. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were as good as any 5 star I have stayed in. Breakfast was excellent. Couldn't get better value for money. well done Meadowlands. We'll definately stay there again when back inTralee
Myself and my wife stayed two nights in the Meadowlands Hotel recently. We found the staff to be cheerful and helpful. The room was large and very comfortable. We ate off the bar menu on the first evening which gave us plenty of choices and we enjoyed our meal. We booked our Lidl Break inclusive meal for the second night. We assumed we would be eating in the dining room and we were not advised otherwise. However, the dining room was closed and we had to eat in the bar. There was a very poor selection of choice on the Lidl Break menu with only one meat option (steak) which had an €8 supplement on it. How can you justify this price. We have been on a number of Lidl breaks in the past and this has been the most disappointing with regard to the evening meal experience. We hope you can improve on this. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at the Meadowlands.
Beautiful old style hotel. Excellent value. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Highly recommend the pancakes for breakfast.
We will be back! Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Quiet and well tempered room. 10-15 min walk to center of Tralee. Nicely decorated inside. Good pub. Free parking.
Hotel is a bit tired but room ok and pleasant staff.
THIS HOTEL IS EXCELLENT IN EVERY RESPECT, COULD BE A BIT WARMER THOUGH,HEAT ING SYSTEM POOR
Staff not really friendly nor helpful. Dark and cold room. Poor breakfast. 'Two course meal for two and coffee or tea' was a 'go order from the pub'. Hotel restaurant was closed. Got food poisoned on the last day of our stay, which caused me two days of my holidays in bed. Would absolutely not recommend.
Lovely hotel and staff were polite and very helpful. The restaurant food was also excellent, Hotel was quite this weekend but would reccomend it as have been to a few hotels in tralee and meadowlands was one of the best
my boyfriend and I decided to go away for one night the night before we stayed in The Meadowlands hotel and got a great deal. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed in, would definately recommend it. Staff are very friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. Food very good and its a good location, just 10-15mins walk from Tralee town centre.
Stayed here for one night and was VERY IMPRESSED.... Hotel may not look much from outside,,,but never judge a book by its cover!! Couldnt fault this hotel.....very relaxing, staff were so polite and customer service was top class, well done to all, from reception to restaurant. Food was wonderful for both dinner and breakfast,,,,,,was very impressed to be asked at breakfast if we required anything else from the buffet before they brought it away. I have been in hotels before where it would be swiped from under your nose!! Well done to all concerned,,,keep it up :-) Must also add, that the decor in both bar and restaurant was very impressive, loved the wood effect
from a family of 6 staying 2ngts during mid-term. great staff all throughout the hotel, reception, restaurant & bar. great location 5/10min walk to town centre, room was very comfortable even for 2 adults & 4kids. great food too......... just a couple of improvements away from being a 5star experience, 1. no play area /playroom for the kids(a must have for familys) & 2. kiddies breakfast was too expensive.....
We stayed in the Meadowlands on Thursday 6th and really enjoyed ourselves. The one person who made our visit an outstanding success was a young man in the bar called Seán! He served the most exquisite cafe lattes just the way I like them!! He served our dinner that night and again made it a most enjoyable occasion. Definitely should be promoted he is a fantastic character without being one bit pushy.
Lovely hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was beautifully designed and laid out.
Lovely hotel. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly. Would definitely stay again. Mary. Cork.
Great location, very friendly staff, huge room.
This hotel is NOT a four star hotel. I booked my four lovely Grand-Daughters in for one night on the 9th February 2013. All was well including the staff and the food, BUT the Decor urgently needs attention. I repeat presently its Not a four star hotel. Its 2/3 star hotel. Michael O'Leary Dublin 14.
Good location in Tralee. Lovely hotel and staff. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel, very pleasent staff and a nice big clean room.
We currently spent 4 nights in the Meadowlands Hotel (A family of 4). We had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel and loved the homely decoration throughout the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a great selection on the breakfast and bar menus which were tasty and had good portion sizes. The bedrooms were very spacious and great for the kids to move around in.
Good deal. Nice hotel Only problem was that the hotel was booked for the night before. However the hotel sorted it out and we had nice stay
Lovely stat at hotel at the beginning of Rose of Tralee; very reasonable and extremely clean; it had an old world feel to it; staff extermely friendly; will definitely be back when in Kerry Tom
the hotel was cold , no way was this a four star hotel and i wouldn't stay there again. the staff are friendly but you are still paying the money so get a better hotel. wouldn't recommend it
First-rate! Really nice hotel and restaurant (excellent food). Friendly, helpful staff. The bar is a bit gloomy and not much variation, but that is the only downside of this place.
Very pleasant and comfortable hotel. This is our second Lidl break and we have found them to be excellent value.
we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time at the Meadowlands hotel in Tr alee. The staff were very friendly The hotel was spotless, a very cosy atmosphere with fires everywhere and also candles Food was excellent. I would highly recommend it
We really enjoyed our stay in the Meadowlands Hotel in Tralee. The room was lovely, staff friendly and great value for money.
I have to say was disppointed .The hotel is dated and service in restaurant was poor , we had dinner there- sarters were excellent but mains very terrible. Breakfast was stressfull as there weren't enough staff or tables.I thought when I booked that the hotel was four star as shown on this site but there is no way it could possibly be 4 star. The rooms were big but tired and we were woken by housekeeping checking to see if our room was cleaned . Overall very unimpressed .
Tremendous value for money from Lidl. Hotel itself was pretty close to the town with ample parking. Check in was quick but unfriendly. The family room was excellent, 2 double beds with lots of space in the room. The room and bathroom were very clean. Meadowlands hotel has everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel but not the luxury of a 4 star hotel. Well done Lidl on introducing such great hotel deals!!
Excluding a noisy and boisterous wedding on our first night, the hotel was excellent. Needs light refurbishment in places, but overall a very enjoyable and clean place. Restraunt is lovely, food reasonably priced and very satisfactory. Staff were pleasant and a credit to the place.
We found this hotel quite good. Nice location away from the town of Tralee, yet walking distance. The rooms were superb in that the batroom was spotless with all necesary facilities available. The linen service was very good with towls changed each day. The bedromm was also clean and the beds were comfortable. There was also tea and coffeee making facilities. Four stars.
The information of the write up say's it all - Lovely stay enjoyed every min of it will tell a friend and will return Please God!!
really enjoyed my stay ,excellent friendly service, would highly recommend it.
Excellent hotel. Best value for money break around. Would highly recommend.
we found the hotel-service & food excellent,5star value, would stay again--looking forward to more lidl breaks. colin lynch
lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would go back there again!
Roxana from Dublin Hotel staff very friendly and helppful / Food was excellent quality ......big portions, well presented.....hot in the plate../ wonderful breakfast.I would recommend anyone to stay there...............
We were very happy with this lovely hotel. The food, staff and suite we were given were all better that we expected for such reasonable rates.....we'll be back....
We had a lovely stay, hotel was beautiful, food top class - I would highly recommend it. I rate it 5 stars.
Staff very friendly and helpful.Entertainment in bar was excellent.Howeverservice in restaurant was very slow for some reason. This is my third time staying there and i never had cause for complaint before. Pat in Cork
Meadowlands is an excellent hotel and the experience here was without fault. This hotel is far superior to most of those usually on these low cost breaks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good. The value of the d+b&b break was fantastic. I would go back there if the break is offered again. I would suggest that guests pay the %u20AC15 extra for the room upgrade, the standard rooms are good but the superior rooms are exceptional.
Had a wonderful time --staff very friendly --food great
Absolutely everything was absolutely horrendous. If I could give minus stars I would.
I found the Meadowlands hotel excellent. The food was also very good and I would definately reccomend it to anyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. I upgraded to an executive suite for only 15 euro extra, which was great as I had access to wireless broadband and a jacuzzi. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is very central and great value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, whether its for a family stay, leisure or business. I would go back there again.
Hotel room was exceptionally clean, loads of room, staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Food quality and service , you do very well to better it....
