We had a very enjoyable stay. Food was fabulous. Staff friendly and room was big and spotless, will definitely return
Great service and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend the Anner Hotel
Really enjoyed our mid week break. The staff were friendly and helpful. We found the food/selection great. The hotel location just a short walk form the center of the town and plenty of places to visit in the location.
Lovely hotel. Food very good. Would definitely stay there again. Staff were friendly.
Lovely friendly staff, fabulous food, value for money with great explore shop and explore,
Lovely friendly staff , especially on breakfast duty Monday morning! lovely hotel and Devine food.. looking forward to another stay.
Beautiful breakfast and dinner staff very helpful
We had a lovely time in the Anner, the staff were very pleasant from the receptionist to the cleaning staff, a very relaxed atmosphere! We had a small problem with a noisy guest in the room beside ours but the night porter sorted it out very promptly! Food and drink was delicious, we will definitely be going back!!
Great food and service, a lovely ambiance, everything to recommend it!
The Anner Hotel is beautiful. Staff Katherine & Ava at Reception went beyond the call of duty to make our stay so enjoyable. Brigid left our room impeccable & gave us great tips as to what to do in area. Lovely Stay.
Hotel was fine but would only recommend it as a 3 star , but having said that I didn’t use the pool or leisure centre
There was no hot water in the bathroom so after we used the pool we had to shower in cold water. Also there was a very bad smell in the room like a stale or mouldy smell and it just would not go away. I did not mention this to reception on the day as i was told before there was a wedding on that night so i figured there wouldnt have been any other rooms available however i did say it to the girl in the reception when we were checking out. Other than the above, hotel is quite central and staff are very nice and friendly
lovely relaxing stay ,staff amazing ,top class food ,room spotless ,very attentive and helpful ,highly recommended
Very enjoyable stay. Would recommend it to friends.
Absolutely superb hotel. Staff amazing so welcoming nothing any trouble. Food stupendous All covid regulations observed felt very safe. Well worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed

The staff were amazing especially John and Kate in the restaurant they were extremely friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic so tasty. Would definitely stay here again
Family friendly hotel which the kids enjoyed. Food was very good in both the bar and restaurant. No AC in room and fan wasn't great, had to go looking for towels, toilet roll and an iron, phone in room not working either. Other than the room, we had a good stay and we would stay again.
My booking was not honoured. I got an email from an er to say they were over booked. I have not received my deposit back. I am very annoyed.
Excellent hotel. Food was so tasty - great spot for tourists to get a good taste of Irish hospitality and food that tastes as it should. Little touches like face clothes and room service being a cinch all added to our experience. The best staff that I’ve seen in years! Remember that kind of customer service where it felt like a holiday? This is the spot. Great location. Rock of Cashel is a short drive away. We just came over for a night to see what was in the area - we will be back to this hotel. This town has everything, so it’s handy for a refuel and a restock of supplies. The only thing I could fault was the phone was problematic and they were already onto it.

We had a lovely stay at the Anner Hotel . Very friendly staff, room was very clean and the breakfast was definitely 10/10.
From the minute we arrived the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had a double room which was perfectly clean and spacious. Breakfast was cooked to order and piping hot. Overall a great stay. Will return for another stay
Beautiful hotel with stunning grounds. This hotel is family friendly, the pool is a key feature for family trips with my 7 year old loving the size and the pool being one level. A smaller pool is also available for younger children. Room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Food was delicious and the bar was nice also. Highly recommend and will be returning in the future.
A little gem situated in the outskirts of Thurles. The food and service was excellent. Staff couldn't be any more friendlier and helpful. Swimming pool very clean. Lovely garden grounds. Ample parking and excellent covid safety measures.
Very disappointed with our hotel room, not at all like the pictures that were shown and not spacious as advertised. Room had small double bed and one single bed beside each other and another single bed shoved in the corner of the room. Not very family friendly. One small window in room so no fresh air able to get it which made it very stuffy. Only positive thing was food was lovely.
Hotel was fabulous lovely service all round the restaurant was lovely good service and great food the bistro was not as good waited a long time for food which wasn’t the best but overall a lovely place the leisure centre was great too
Hotel itself is lovely Dinner in the Bar was disappointing table not fully cleaned and food served on cold plates. service in the bar for drinks and dinner was very bad lovely young people working there with little or no training I would say that was down to management.. Breakfast was lovely over all not a bad hotel
Excellent level of service, staff very friendly and very helpful. Hotel very clean and excellent food especially breakfast. A really high quality hotel. Can't wait to return!!
The staff were lovely, the gardens were beautiful. The food was lovely and plentiful. The bathrooms have been recently made over and look great with the added addition of a,walk in shower ...... no climbing into baths. Would highly recommend hotel but just be aware the bed was a queen not a double so ensure to ask for a double. All in all a lovely stay at the Anner and would definitely visit again.
Very well equipped for these covid times . First class service and great welcoming staff . Good food as always
Very friendly staff. Food was very nice. Would stay there again. Thank you. Room and bathroom was clean. No complaints.
Lovely reception with long dark hair and glasses, very helpful, dinner was beautiful , very well managed with covid 19 and got two slots for swimming, beautiful warm rooms and we all really enjoyed our stay. Very nice staff and very helpful.
We had a fabulous time. The food was amazingly delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely place Staff friendly & very professional Food excellent
Excellent hotel , great to stay in, also good base to travel around, Excellent service from very friendly and efficient Staff from Reception to Bar to Bistro restaurant and also Breakfast service (John, Amie, Tanya) and all who we were acquainted with. Covid 19 restrictions 100% in place and made us feel very safe during our Stay. Room lovely. Food Delicious and great selection to choose from on Menu at reasonable prices. Definitely return
Excellent staff, food and location help give this hotel a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere
The food here was absolutely amazing. And Jason (I think that was his name) was absolutely amazing always checking if we slept well during breakfast or if we needed anything else during dinner. He was so helpful and delightful. The hotel bed was so comfortable and the shower!!!! I need that shower in my life. Also the leisure centre was so nice and relaxing. We will definitely come stay again.
Excellent staff, food and location help give this hotel a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere
Excellent staff, food and location help give this hotel a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere
Lovely hotel, staff were super helpful, would like to see more vegan options on the menu please.
We decided on a hotel break to celebrate my daughters 8 birthday as we couldnt have the big party with family and friends that we normally have. I was quite anxious about it, worrying it wouldn't be the same for her. However, the staff went above and beyond to make it special for her . We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff are amazing and so warm and welcoming. The food was fantastic- and i look forward to planning our next family trip away at this hotel.
Friendly staff all throughout hotel. Rooms are very dated so could do with sprucing them up a bit, food was fab. Only real issue we had was we ordered room service for breakfast and it never arrived so we had to go down which was a bit of an inconvenience.
Lovely food, friendly staff, felt very comfortable there during covid. Room clean. Comfortable bed. Will return.
Lovely food, friendly staff, felt very comfortable there during covid. Room clean. Comfortable bed. Will return.
Very friendly and spotless clean hotel , staff were so friendly couldn’t do enough for us and the food was fabulous, we will definitely be back ????
Had a great time in the Anner hotel staff very friendly would give them 10/10 and the foods was 10/10 as well would go back again very soon.
Staff and the service they provide is great - especially in these trying times Observance of Covid protocols was good Food was fab Building is a bit tired, however the hotel and the rooms were all very clean
Jason and team extremely efficient and welcoming. all very aware of social distancing etc. Bed so comfortable, certainly high quality. Breakfast fantastic and dinner most acceptable .We look forward to returning there .
Friendly country hotel, well adapted to Covid 19 regulations, lovely food in bistro, good selection for breakfast, great size pool and friendly staff
Good hotel and friendly staff. Great food, served well. Only the pool open, no jacuzzi, no sauna, no steam room due to Covid - 19.
Beatiful hotel, lovely staff, had a great night away. highly recommended
From the moment we arrived to our departure the staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful or friendly Spotless clean facilities staff were constantly cleaning and very aware of covid management throughout
Lovely hotel within walking distance of the lovely town. I think what makes this hotel so nice is the staff every one of them are so helpful and friendly at all times. The food from breakfast, lunch to dinner couldnt be faulted. Piping hot and amazing. Will definitely be back.
Had a lovely weekend in this hotel. Food, cleanliness, staff, pool & covid procedures all excellant. Would defo recommend and visit again
Had a lovely weekend in this hotel. Food, cleanliness, staff, pool & covid procedures all excellant. Would defo recommend and visit again
My family and I stayed in the anner hotel from the 11th to the 14th August. The staff in the hotel could not do enough for us. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was constantly being cleaned. In the restaurant they were leaving 15 mins in between somebody getting up from a table before they would let the next guests sit down . The manager in the reataurant was lovely and chatty and made us feel at ease. My only down side with the stay was the lovely gardens they have were a bit unkept and the beautiful fountain they had the water was dirty but with all the covid restrictions in place i can understand their time has to be spent inside making sure all their guests and staff are safe. Will definetly be calling to stay again.
Very friendly staff. Particularly in the main restaurant, Manager & Roisin. The corridors looked very nicely updated and the bathroom was super. We would be happy to stay with you again as there are plenty more sights we would like to visit in the area.
Hotel was lovely, food was really tasty.
Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Ate in twice and the food was good. Very clean and relaxing.
Lovely staff.good food.clean pool.really enjoyed it
Had a 3 night stay DB&B in July.I would have to say everything about the stay was great from booking in right up to leaving. All staff were friendly and efficient, meals were lovely.Rules regarding covid 19 seemed to be working well.We both felt comfortable in the hotel as this was the first time out since March.Well done to the hotel management and staff .Would have no problem returning to the Anner.
I recently visited the Anner Hotel in Thurles & was very impressed with the entire experience. from the gentlemen welcoming us in reception to you young girls in the bistro everyone was so nice & the food was second to none. I will most defiantly be passing on my recommendations to friends & family to take a visit.
Absolute 5 star recommendation. From start to finish. When I initially made the booking, it was for 2 people and 1 baby. But we needed to change it to 3 adults. We were also arriving at different times etc. i dealt with Jackie on the phone who assured me that all would be fine and they would cater for the extra adult etc. It was my birthday on the same night. We had a 2 course meal booked with our stay. Every bite was amazing and the care we got we second to non. i am so happy to be able to leave such a positive review. There was nothing I could fault. Perfect from start to finish, I'll be looking forward to my next visit. Special thanks to Jackie, the male waiter that was on duty Sat when we arrived and also Sunday breakfast time, i didn't get his name but he was a credit to any customer facing role!
friendly staff ,Catherine was great ,helpful and friendly, clean rooms ,lovely food and the pool and pool area was fantastic ,great location ,enjoyed our 3 days stay and will be back
Long wait for breakfast only 2 staff on for breakfast Waiting 25:minutes and then had to ask where is the breakfast I ordered Needs extra staff Friendly staff but this should not be classed as s 4 star hotel
We spent 2 nights here last week and we had a lovely time. The staff could'nt have been nicer and the food for both breakfast and dinner was really great. We will for sure be back.
Just back from a 3 day stay at the hotel which is ideally located 5 min walk from the town, 5 min drive from the motorway and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The room and the bathroom were spotless, unfortunately on our first night we were left waiting about 45 mins for our meal the waitress apologised and we were given a complimentary drink. The pool was a really good size with a separate kiddies pool, the girl on the desk was very nice and polite but i had to go back 3 times with the key to the locker as most of the lockers were open but full of clothes. Overall for what we paid it was well worth the value but to make a 4 star there are a few tweeks that have to b.e made.
Fantastic value. Superb base to explore beautiful Tipperary, perfectly located just off the Dublin Motorway. The crown jewel here is the staff - warm, friendly and accommodating, Highly recommended.
Staff extremely friendly Very clean leisure club it appears to be run by locals would definitely return
Stayed one night. Lovely sized double room . Tea and coffee making facilities. No safe. Bathroom also a nice size with everything you need. Fantastic powerful shower with lots of hot water. Everywhere spotless. Nice bar with nice food. Breakfast also very nice. All staff were pleasant . Cannot review pool area as I did not use it. Would use this hotel again if ever in the area.
We liked everything about this family run hotel. Staff well trained, courteous, friendly and professional. Food prepared with obvious care. Pool and gym nicely proportioned and equipped, and scrupulously clean. Bedroom a little small, but we had a glorious sleep. Bar atmosphere wonderful. But the crowning glory of this hotel is its ample reception / lounge area that has loads of places to sit and observe the world going by. We will be going back on a longer visit next time. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.
Stayed here on Saturday Night.. Very nice Hotel. .Leisure and Pool also good. Booked with Lidl Breaks.. Would not Recommend the Dinner Menu very Limited unless you like Battered Fish or Meat balls. Had steaks which were only ok and had to Pay € 12 Supplement.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel has been recently refurbished and was spotless. We had a good sized family room and the kids loved the pool. My only criticism is the restaurant staff neglected our table during dinner. When our food finally arrived it wasn't to the standards we were expecting. In support of the staff, there was a large hen party in the restaurant at the time though; but well trained staff should be able to deal with this. Overall it was a good stay!
Lovely hotel. Nice reception and bar area. Staff are really friendly and helpful. On the downside, the hotel itself is in need of some tlc in certain areas. The breakfast was only okay and the service was slow. Nevertheless we did enjoy our stay.
Stayed for a two night break on Sunday 30th & Monday 31st of October, with my Mam and my two girls (age 11 & 2). We had a lovely quiet room on the second floor. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished, especially the bar, foyer and restaurant. We had breakfast both mornings, which was of a high standard, as was the food we had in the bar on the second night. We did not use the pool or avail of the kids club. It is a nicely walk in to town, though there is not much to do in Thurles.
Rooms very clean & comfortable, staff friendly and efficient. Food, both in the bar and the dining room was delicious. Hotel situated in an oasis of calm with lovely gardens and lots of parking approx 5 minute walk from the town centre..... great shopping town. Ideal location to set up base to tour this lovely part of the country. Will definitely be back.
Very nice and efficient staff. Food and service very good and relaxing. Bedrooms well appointed. Good location, we used the hotel as a base for touring Tipperary and Limerick region. Would love to return again
We recently stayed in the Anner Hotel and we really enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly and it was very good value for money.
Hi , Had a lovely stay over bank holiday weekend, staff lovely especially Joan in reception, had lovely dinner in restaurant and breakfast too, this is my second stay there and I will go back again, also very good value for money, Barbara
restaurant service was absolutely appalling, ignored by all waiting staff had to go to station to ask staff to clear plates from table 20 minutes after meal, given coffee but no cups or milk had to go to ask, given dessert 50 mins after main course only after complaining to manager. Noise in room from function which we were directly above until 2am,( bank holiday sunday) Needless to say never going to return
Great hotel and lovely staff.
We would highly recommend this hotel. My husband, myself and our son stayed here for one night and everybody and everything about the hotel was very professional. The breakfast was lovely, beds comfortable and room very cosy.Leisure centre was lovel,y again the staff very helpful. we would defiinately stay here again,
Lovely night away in a great hotel. Staff were excellent and facilities were good. Bar food was tasty. Only gripe was kids screaming up and down the corridor at all hours due to a wedding but I suppose that's hardly the hotel's fault.
Really enjoyed our recent stay. Staff very helpful, friendly and kind. Food also very good.
Excellent location, room very comfortable and clean, food excellent, staff excellent. Overall, had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel highly.
We stayed here from Friday 27th until Sunday 29th November 2015. What a fabulous hotel! We ate in the bar on Friday night and enjoyed it that much, we decided not to venture into the town on Saturday night, instead opting to eat in the hotel restaurant and we were not disappointed. From the very tasteful Christmas decorations, the comfortable room, generous breakfast, and above all, the fantastic customer service shown by the staff, I would love to have an excuse to return to Thurles and to stay in the Anner Hotel again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Anner hotel, from check in on Friday to leaving on Sunday. The reception staff were very courteous and professional. The room was very clean and the housekeeping was of a very high standard. The bar and restaurant staff were again very competent and friendly. The menu was good and the quality of the food was excellent. We will definitely be going back to the Anner and would highly recommend it to my family and friends. John Grogan.
I cannot fault this charming Hotel. Food in the bar and restaurant is outstanding. Staff from reception to waiting staff are friendly and helpful above and beyond the call of duty. Not a whole lot to do in Thurles.
Excellent location, comfortable room, good leisure centre, breakfast and dinner very good. All the right ingredients for a good break.
Had a really nice stay, great welcome, breakfast in bed, lovely dinner, great leisure centre, staff genuinely friendly
Went down for a night away with older children. Hotel was very nice, food was good and leisure centre was relaxing. Booked a triple room for the kids and got a family room. There was a group staying who were banging doors and shouting at 3.30am. When I went to ring reception I couldn't find the phone. Reported this the following morning and it seems the phone had been stolen by previous visitors. Was a nice break just a pity about the noise.
myself and my wife having stayed at the Anner hotel last weekend 16th and 17th of October I would highly recommend this hotel, very friendly staff excellent food and a really relaxed atmosphere we will definitely be back
Stayed in Anner Hotel recently. Staff were extremely helpful and polite on reception, in the bar and in the restaurant. Room was clean and spacious but there was a musty odour when you entered. Only other issue - please please please do something about the door from the kitchen to the restaurant constantly banging when the staff were coming in and out. I'm sure this could be easily fixed. Thank you once again for a lovely stay and we would definitely stay at the Anner Hotel again.
I booked the Anner Hotel for a 60 birthday celebration for a group of 10 women and we were greeted by a very pleasant lady on reception and from then on we were treated very well. Although it is listed as a 3 star hotel we got 4 star treatment. The pool and leisure area was beautiful. The meal we had on the 19th September was excellant and there was no complaints from any of the women all our meals were delicious and we were looked after by a very pleasant and competent staff. I would recommend this hotel for its comfort, atmosphere and friendly staff and of course the food.
This is fabulous hotel with delicious food, nice staff and lovely atmosphere.
The Hotel Staff were friendly. The Leisure Center was very accessible. Definitely worthy overall of the three star rating. The food and restaurant service were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for a break away. The location is great for, Rock of Cashel and the Mitchelstown Caves are worth a visit.
We had really great experience in the Anner Hotel. The food was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. It was exceptionally good value too!
We stayed two nights 30th an 3st july with our grand daughter who is six , from the reception staff to the leisure center staff and in particluar Irene from the kids club you made our stay but more imprtant our grandaughters stay perfect, slight down side was the bistro food which on the night we booked which was a wednesday the selection or quality was not great, overalll the relaxed mood amd the excellent staff made up for this , we will be going back to this hotel.
This is my second time to stay at the Anner and yet again it was a great stay the only thing I would say is that as a disabled person with reduced mobility is that in the walk in shower they need hand rails in the shower and the floor tiles are really slippy. I also think the disabled friendly rooms should be closer to the lift. The staff from reception to the bar and breakfast staff were on point. I would highly recommend it as a great stay. Well done guy's.
LOVELY HOTEL .STAFF VERY HELPFUL COULD DO WITH A LARGE PHOTO OF A TIPP TEAM ON WALL SOMEWHERE DUE TO GAA HISTORY OF AREA. WILL BE BACK
Excellent hotel! Room and bathroom luxurious, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious, gym and pool great. Will return, Cormac Duignan
We had a lovely stay at the Anner Hotel. The staff were all lovely and the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was great with fantastic entertainment on the Friday night with young trad Irish musicians who had something for everyone! Food was excellent. Also, a nice short walk away from the town centre.
great hotel with friendly staff. A relaxed atmosphere a most importantly a very good swimming pool.
Nice hotel staff nice, dinner nice but no real kids menu, paid €5 each for kids ice cream, we were in room 106 which is over main entrance not very good when u have two small kids we had a des aster of a night there was groups of lads around us and the carry on of them was discrasefull we had to call security twice and the racket they made at 5am was terrible where we had to go down and contact management all of us were awake all night kids got 2 hrs sleep we got none hence we did not pay for our room in the morning these people should have been thrown out of the hotel it was terrible hence we will not be using this hotel again, the were very appolagitic, all there hulligans were down for a match
Really nice hotel, ideally situated 5 minute walk from town. Plenty of car parking and nice gardens. Reception and bar have undergone a beautiful update and it is very comfortable. Food was excellent and staff plesent. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Once these are updated (a work in progress I believe) the hotel will be an excellent choice. Will return and would recommend.
Now under new management this hotel is very welcoming. Nice friendly staff who were pleasant to deal with. We were attending a wedding and found every aspect to be of a high standard. Only one small problem - the fire alarm ( a recently installed new system ) was activated at 6.10 am waking me from a lovely sleep. Someone smoking in a room we were told. The hotel is undergoing renovations and all rooms will be upgraded & updated but the room we stayed in, although a little 'tired' was warm, clean and comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay & I'd have no hesitation returning.
Very good clean, good staff. bar menu very good.not the last time we will stay here.
A very well located hotel. Set on lovely grounds. Good sized rooms and helpful staff. Great breakfast would definately come back.
Annette hotel is good. We enjoyed to stay there
A very busy hotel on this weekend. The staff were able to cope and give everybody their attention. My only gripe was even though there was plenty of waiting staff on for breakfast, one lady appeared to be doing 70% of the work while the others were trying to appear busy. A nice 3 star hotel within walking distance of the Source theatre and the Square in Thurles town.
Stayed here before and again happy with our stay on Fri 13th 2o13. Room nice and comfortable, dinner and breakfast very good. Location ideal for site seeing, eg Rock of Cashel, Holycross Abbey etc. Would come back. Eddie
yes this hotel is execelant very nice breakfast cooked to request have stayed here before returned because it was good regards norah
We used to go as a family many years ago Wanted to go back for nostalgic reasons.we had booked 2 nights with a 2 course dinner .We were aware that the two nights were reasonable . However i felt rather intimidated that we seemed to be on a different menu to a group beside us I ordered salmon the only fish on the very limited menu, only to discover that the table next to us a lady was eating sea bass . I questioned it only to be toid that they were part of a social club that are allowed to eat sea bass! The family room was adequate and the swimming pool was fine apart from the fact that the jacuzzi on the first day remained as dirty on the second day. Staff were very friendly and the room was cleaned very well however in these rather challenging times I feel that this hotel is in need of a general makeover and a more varied dinner menu should be introduced . Until this happens we will not be returning to this hotel!!
One of the worst hotels I have stayed in the dinning room and lobby was very cold, we had dinner included but the dinner was only a child's portion I had breast of chicken and I have never seen a smaller chicken breast, no internet only in lobby, I wanted to make a cup of tea in our room when we arrived but there was hot water in both taps very disappointing
An old hotel that needs doing up. Room was clean. Checking in was delayed as there was no rooms available a lot of people just waiting around reception. A good distance out of town. Could hear a lot of noise from our room with people singing in the early hours of the morning.
I would have to say that both myself and my husband were overall dissapointed with our stay. We have stayed in a lot of hotels all over Ireland and have availed of some wonderful Lidl breaks, however this one would be bottom of our list. Compliments however must be forwarded to the staff in the dining area. They were very nice but the portion of our dinner (not the fault of Dining room staff) was very small. Breakfast was below average. When we went to make tea in our room the water in the kettle was so filthy I nearly got sick. We went on this break to ring in the new year. The music stopped at six minutes passed midnight due to the muscians thinking that there might be trouble with some of the guests if they played on. They closed the dining room on new years day so we had to go to the bar for our evening meal . We only learned of this after waiting twenty minutes for the dining room to open. There was no notice on the door of the dining room to tell guests they were to proceed to the bar for their evening meal. My Husband had to go to reception and enquire from the receptionist. Breakfast was also served from the bar the following morning. My husband and I do not get any enjoment out of complaining about our stay and I would have to say this would be a first negative rating we have given. Looking forward to availing of your continued Lidl breaks.
Our visit this time to Anner Hotel was rather disappointing, the dining room had no heating, it was so very cold, all the guests were leaving straight after the main course, I asked why there was no heat, they need a new part,!! and for the dinner it was a childs portion, we left the table still hungry, they could have at least offered a free drink or some gesture, but nothing, wont be hurrying back .
The Anner Hotel was a nice hotel. What would give it a three star is the Leisure Centre. Beautiful pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Staff on the whole very friendly. The barmen only seemed interested in serving the men at the bar and there was no table service. We had dinner included and had it on the first night. Mine was very nice but my friends had hairs on the beef. which they changed. When we ordered breakfast next morning at 10.15 they forgot about it. We were chatting and when we poured the tea it was cold. I looked at my watch and it was 10.45 no breakfast. We called a young girl over who went in to get the breakfast and came out and told us it hadn't been ' processed ' and would we mind waiting they would be as quick as they could. It was just after eleven when we were served. This was unfortunate but we just laughed it off. It is a nice hotel but they would need to brush up their standards. Room was lovely except for two big holes in each side of the base of the single bed.
The Anner was a very pleasant stay - food was excellent and a good location / base for both walking and driving would visit it again Don
Overall quite a disappointing experience. When we arrived, the room was freezing, when we asked for the heat to be switched on we were told it was on a timer, so we went out. When we came back that evening the heat was on, but went off during the night so we woke up to a cold room again. There was no hot water in the taps or shower. The toilet did not flush properly. After several phonecalls to receptionin the morning, I decided to have a luke-warm shower anyway only for the water to shut down COMPLETLEY while I was in it. They agreed to move us to another room, but could not tell us when the room would be ready. When we eventually moved that evening, the new room was warm and we could control the temperature ourselves, the water was hot, and the toilet worked perfectly, things you usually take for granted in a hotel! The main light in the room did not work, however so we had to rely on the bedside lamps. A small inconvenience, perhaps, but you would think we would have been moved to a room with no problems. Breakfast was included in the price, and was edible, but not great. The dinner on the second night was quite nice, but the service was not great. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything to drink/to see a winelist!
one of the best hotels ive ever stayed in the food was excellant freshly cooked not massed cooked and cold only downside lift out of order last day we were there staff very pleasant would stay there again
Room was very comfortable, all ameneties. Meals were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Would definitely go back again.
Hi sorry for not getting back to you earlier. We were going to complain at reception when leaving but decided not to.we had a dinner in the restaurant on the saturday night , we can safely say it was the worst experience we ever had at any hotel. The meal they served to us and the attitude of the male waiter were dreadful. he was ignorant and never smiled or asked us was everything okas happens in other restaurants. The female staff were much more pleasant and helpful in the hotel especially in the leisure club which our daughter really enjoyed. We wont be going back to this hotel as the experience of that awful meal which we paid 82 euros for will prevent us from doing so Best Regards ROBERT COLLIER
We enjoyed our stay, had a lovely large suite, only problem was we had no hot water, it got hot when we were leaving Sunday morning, Lidl breaks are certainly great value, would do it again. Sarah
Rate 4 - Enjoyed our stay at the anner hotel, very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Lidl breaks are such good value and thanks to them we can avail of more breaks this year.
We were given double room instead of family room initially. Very short staffed. Staff that were there were very nice but 1 man running bar and serving food. We had to clear our own table. Waiting 5 minutes for any staff to appear in restaurant to be seated. Pool was nice.
2 stars its ok but i dont think we will be coming back.rooms too small for a famliy, kettle was full of limescales haven't cleaned for a very long time, i guess. There was no cups and teaspoons.was wrongly charged on check out staff hasn't idea that it was booked thru lidl breaks have to embarrassed myself about the bill on check out.
