I visited with my mother and toddler recently and it was a lovely break away. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do any more for us. The extra little touches such as the milk and cookie each night for my little girl will definitely be remembered. The breakfast was 10/10. The only minor fault was the heat of the room, despite the window being left open it was uncomfortably warm at times. Would definitely return again.
Hotel was lovely. Room was very clean and not stuffy or to hot. Breakfast was good with quality food served. The leisure centre and the pool were nice aswell, the staff were excellent and friendly.
Stayed in room 103 the bathroom and toilet were designed for an invalid person which I am not there was no bath tub. A bit disappointed with that. Had an evening meal in the bar on my first night I stayed I had a pasta dish my wife had a Thai chicken curry dish very disappointed with both dishes.
Room okay but shower in bathroom dripping during the night unable to sleep.
Accommodation very good, exceptionally friendly staff, good atmosphere in the bar, highly recommend staying at the Arklow Bay Hotel
We had a lovely time. The staff are very friendly We ate in the hotel the food was great would go back again
A good location in town but country aspect. Friendly staff, comfortable room, good food and reasonable price. Also swimming pool and leasure centre available, no extra charge.
A good location in town but country aspect. Friendly staff, comfortable room, good food and reasonable price.
Food is fabulous. Staff were all very helpful.
Excellent facilities and location. Staff really good. Food Excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Fab rooms, lovely food! Staff where very friendly. We have to come to arklow a lot now over next while so will be staying here each time
We had a lovely romantic stay at this hotel. Lovely facilities and great food. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would love to come back again.
It was great value. Food and service excellent in the Bar/Restaurant during the evening. The breakfasts were great as well and the staff in the Presscott ?? room were great and attentive.
Best part was that the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed the Leisure Centre and the food was lovely.
Lovely and warm and cosy. Food lovely too
Had a great time.Lovely hotel and had a great room with sea view Staff lovely and very helpful.Room clean.Used pool great facilities and well kept.Lookimg forward to returning in the future ????????
A fantastic hotel all round, highly recommended. It definitely has it all from staff, food and venue ,we loved our stay and definitely be back
Hotel was not of a 4* standard and room we were allocated was supposed to be newly refurbished. It was very small and bathroom was defining refurbed. Food and staff were excellent and made up for the room and standard of the hotel.
Lovley spot. Nice part of Ireland. Plenty to do with the kids (a drive away). Lovely pool.
Staff very pleasant and food good.
Friendly and efficient staff in a well kept hotel with great breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would visit Arklow again. Leisure centre and walks around hotel very enjoyable.
Friendly and efficient staff in a well kept hot
I arrived with my daughter and we both had a really lovely time the pool, the food and the staff were lovely, highly recommended ????
Lovely hotel. Helpful Staff. Good food. Well located for golf, walking swimming etc. Would recommend.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating to my family and I. The pool is lovely and there is a nice walk to the lake and sea front at the back if the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel based on the friendliness of the staff.
We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Arklow Bay Hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly. The location was beautiful and the food in the hotel was lovely. We would definitely go back again.
nice hotel in a good location with a good pool/spa. i had a problem with my room on arrival but this was fixed when i was offered a different room ( an upgrade!). large groups seem to use the hotel as a meeting point which caused a small issue when parking. breakfast was excellent, staff were great.
We had a most enjoyable stay at the Arklow Bay Hotel. The staff were lovely, kind and helpful. Room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the bay. Breakfasts were buffet style but freshly replenished regularly. Leisure centre was also very nice, however the steam room was not working a few of the days while we were there.
Lovely hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, good location. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
All good staff very nice
Hotel is lovely food was good could change the menu
We liked the hotel for decent the bar food and the excellent singer on the second night. One Man with a guitar who was very entertaining. The Swimming pool was good too. Not quite as positive was the room size a nice enough room but would not have like to have been staying more than 2 nights as the space for clothes was as small as can be. Also the breakfast was fairly basic. Self service fair enough is not as nice as being served but the choice was minimal. Overall we would return.
A lovely hotel , great staff, close to town and a lovely nature walk nearby. . Will definitely be back
Very enjoyable stay. Leisure centre was very enjoyable and food was very good also.
Pleasantly surprised with this Hotel only stayed one night but to be honest I cannot fault much about it , ok it's not 5 star but my experience with the mains concerns I'd have when staying were spot on, nice staff , nice food and beverages room spotless and cosy so till the next time Arklow Bay Hotel .Slán go Fhoill
I will definitely go back again a lovely hotel staff were excellent especially the bar staff very helpful and friendly very clean hotel would definitely recommend
Negative: Adequate for the night, room was very dark, there was another building directly in front of the window and less than three feet away, room 324. Bathroom had hairs on floor. Positive: A nice walk close by, breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff very nice.
Very good hotel overall in excellent location with good facilities. Menu could be a little better!
No lift for 2 days. Both of us iin 70s. O oiffer of help. Negotiate flights of stairs. Bar staff unfriendly.. Noisy guest at 3.15 am. Generator early morn. Had requested quiet room. Dish on menu but when ordered told unavailable. Terrible experience 1st time in life ever giving a bad review. Not 4 star accommodation
Lovely hotel, although lift was broke when we were there. Friendly staff good food.
Lovely staff but food awful and breakfast meant to finish at 10.30 but nothing left at 10.10..my daughter ordered two bottles of wine to our room on arrival as our twenty fifth anniversary and they forgot. Also lift broken.
Close to beach, and Town, Friendly staff,
Good value for money with Lidl break offer. Staff very friendly, particularly in the bar
Value for Money. Food was Superb. Leisure center included. Costal and Nature walks if your into it. Garden Area safe for children with coffee bar snacks and drinks available.
Lovely staff, very clean, super breakfast. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Will be back.
Brilliant service hotel great all staff excellent thanks
Nice hotel with very comfortable room and beds. Gorgeous beer garden but you have to buy drinks in hotel and carry over to it, yet they sell coffee from hut! Was not allocated room requested, given ground floor with view of car park (cars 10 feet away from window. Asked about seaview room but decided it wasn't worth the extra 20 euros as it was mostly of a nearby mine, the noise from which went on all day long! Food was just ok. The breakfast products could definitely be improved. Nice little forest walk around nearby pond.
Hotel lovely food was ok lif wasn't working we were on the third floor that didnt suit to well.walks around the hotel were very good just a few minutes to the Bridgewater shopping centre would stay at hote again.
Had a lovely stay at the arklow Bay this week Staff all lovely and helpful.Gardens were beautiful and we met the gardener Joe who by the way is 94 years old fantastic. General manager Richard aka(Dick) top man very helpful and food fab will be back Robbie
Lovely time in the arklow bay
Lovely hotel staff friendly food very nice would go back again
I would give this hotel 10 out of ten for us everything was perfect.
Loved this hotel. We stayed over Easter, the staff were friendly, the food was excellent, great atmosphere, pool/spa amazing. A really good, clean, well priced hotel set in a beautiful county with excellent access to some fab tourist attractions. Perfect for everyone thank you : )
Nice hotel nice room only complaint is breakfast was a buffet but you had to ask for fried eggs tomatoes and mushrooms our poached eggs so when these items came out you had to get in line to get the rest of your breakfast which meant it was cold
Arklow Bay Hotel I’d Highly recommend it Great value, lovely food efficient friendly staff Will be back Should be more than 3 star hotel
I rate it 4 stars. Brilliant value for money. Staff were great as was the food. only observation bedRooms a bit dated.
I recently stayed at the arklow bay hotel, with my daughter and grand daughter, i just want to say, we all enjoyed our stay very much, the staff are very friendly, and the the food was very nice, also we made full use of the leisure facilitates
Lovely hotel and dinner was delicious, great portion sizes but the noise form the hallway and next door rooms is very loud, can hear everything said in room next door.
Lovely stay, staff very nice and friendly would recommend ,looking forward to a return visit .
Really enjoyed the stay, staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent and plentiful. The rooms are comfortable and warm. Looking forward to revisiting. Excellent value for money.
Great location near a nature walk and the coast/beach. Rooms are clean and simple. The leisure center is great, v child friendly. Would definitely go back again.
We a great welcome from reservation staff .Hotel is very modern on the lobby floor but as you go up the bedrooms it gets very shabby in need of total renovation ,Rooms are very clean ,the double bed was very small.we had dinner in the restaurant which was pretty good and plenty of food ,the staff are very good and looked after us very well ,breakfast is self service and was OK, lovely grounds too walk about in and lovely swimming pool.overall,we have no problem in payjng complents too all the staff .
We had a very warm welcome and easy registration. The bedrooms are large and are thoroughly made up each day. Our part of the hotel is showing the need for some minor re-decorating, but generally it is great place to stay. The food is good, with breakfast being self-service and and we had evening meals in the bar where portions are generous. Plenty of grounds to explore and lovely walks nearby. No hesitation in recommending the hotel and paying complements to all of the staff.
We stayed in the Arklow Bay Hotel for one night. and i must say it is a very nice hotel. the rooms a bit on the small side but with every thing you need. we stayed b/b with evening meal. the food was fantastic. and the staff so helpful. a bit of a walk to the town. but would return for the great service and nice people. and the fantastic deal from lidl.
Myself and my young family stayed at The Arklow Bay on Thurs 2nd Jun for 1 night. This very family friendly hotel is in an excellent location right beside a beautiful wildlife sanctuary. The food and service at the hotel were both excellent. We would highly recommend the Arklow Bay to anyone (young or old) looking for a short break close to Dublin. We will definitely stay there again soon.
Great location, will be back! Dinner & Breakfast was a good selection & great quality.
Excellent service all around. Great welcoming at reception and restaurant
Nice hotel staff all good some rooms need updating
Hotel entrance was nice . Staff were nice and friendly food was great and the leisure center was great but the room was VERY small and Basic.
Arklow Bay Leisure & Spa were very friendly , welcoming and helpful. I had a special request that I asked them to try help me with for my partners birthday and they were so accommodating and really made it special. The Hotel itself is lovely and Leisure club is fab the food is all so very nice . Great for a mini break with your partner and for family's, we have a little girl and we both agreed we would be bringing her next time as the hotel is situated close to the lakes for walks & Arklow town with loads to do so would be a nice get away . Defiantly would recommend !! :)
There last weekend had a great time food great
We arrived in the middle of storm Desmond to the warmth of this lovely hotel! The staff are very friendly, the accommodation is very good and the service exceptionally quick with fresh and tasty food. We will be returning!
Great hotel and great website for getting great bargains on hotels
We mostly enjoyed our stay however we felt that the lobby area was very crowded and quite noisey Otherwise food was quite good and the staff were very helpful and courteous I paticularilly Ed enjoyed the nature walk Sincerely J McCann
I love this hotel. I was there with 3 of my daughters, their partners, my husband and 6 grandchildren. An excellent time was had by everyone. We will definitely go there again as soon as we can. The staff were lovely. The restaurant and bar food were excellent. The bar staff and all the staff get 100% for their service.
I have just returned from my second stay at the Arklow Bay Hotel this year and looking forward to my next visit which I hope will be before the end of November. The staff were delightful pleasant and helpful at all times. The food was excellent during both stays so yes I would strongly recommend this hotel. Amazing views and walks and very restful and accommodating. I have just returned and looking forward to my next vacation there. I traveled from Limerick and collected a very elderly lady who also enjoyed her second visit there. Keep up the good work. Kind regards to management and Staff.
Staff were great, room was a bit noise as it was just at the carpark. Other than that I couldn't fault the hotel, Food was lovely also :)
Was a bit disappointed with the food. I ordered pork loin and got two pork chops. I paid €20 extra to upgrade the room. We got a very small balcony which had weeds growing and used cigarette butts on it. The soap dish was rusty and one of the glasses had a chip on the rim. The location is fab and I was there before and loved it. I will not stop using Lidl breaks as I think they are terrific value.
We booked a 2night b&b with 1 evening meal just back and cannot recommend this hotel enough ( we're already planning our next trip !). We stayed in a seaview room which was beautifully decorated and very comfy . Breakfast both days was great plenty of options and the staff where very helpful . Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious , Great size portions and lots of options on the menu. We ate in. The bar the second night and had another lovely meal and it such good value too again loads of options Mexican Thai and traditional . We tried the afternoon tea too which was available from the coffee dock in the lobby and where again impressed with value for money ( €18 for 2 people !) . The hotel is ideally located for a relaxing break very picturesque with lovely walks and yet incredibly convenient for local amenities the shopping centre is a few minutes walk away with loads of shops cafes and a cinema too. We had a lovely relaxing break here and would recommend it ( and already have to friends and family ) .
The staff at the hotel are lovely, (the receptionist was a bit frosty though). Nothing was too much trouble, and all service was provided with a smile. The rooms are extremely compact, but spotless. We got very little sleep on one of the nights as a couple were screaming at one another from 4am until about 5.30 am, and several children were running up and down the corridor at 5am. Apparently there was only one night porter, and no other security staff working that night. This could be dangerous for both staff and guests.
I found the facilities very good and thought the bar food was really nice. M only problems I found was there was now information booklet in the room and found the bed very small. But I would really recommend the hotel and would definitely return.
Excellent service nice food ,love to go back again .CLEAN HOTEL .good rooms.
Very happy with all aspects of hotel. Staff very helpful and cheery.very relaxed atmosphere around the foyer, bar and restuarant.good crowd around at all times which added to atmosphere. Food very good and reasonable.
stayed here recently wold highly recommend , food excellent, rooms very clean and spacious, hotel staff could not be nicer and more helpful, would highly recommend,
great staff and great hotel worth a stay
July 10th Really enjoyed our stay. Staff are very friendly and great views from the hotel and you can walk down to the sea. They made us very welcome and great choice of food. I have been there before and will go back again.
I traveled from Bray Dart Station to Arklow. Turn left outside station walk 5 minutes to the bridge where there is a big Bridgewater Shopping Centre with Abrakebabra/Eddie Rockets and loads of other eatieries, great clothes shops and a huge Aldi too. Cross the bridge and the Arklow Bay Hotel is 5 minutes from here. The hotel is big and full of coach tours all the time (mostly elderly) but thats okay as they are quiet....Walls are very think in the hotel, wifi is available free of charge in the hotel rooms also. Breakfast is nice but starts at 07:30am so you need to be there by 8:30 at latest to get a decent serving! Bar food unfortunately ends at 20:30pm very early and entertainments starts in the bar at 10m for an hour!! Receptionist were all lovely and very helpful I got there at 11:30am and she gave me a towel to go to the beach and she minded my luggage or you can go into the leisure centre on the premises with a great pool, jacuzzi and sauna etc as you really wont get checked in before 3pm!! Checkout is 12 noon but they give you a complimentary hour so 1pm which is great as I went to Brittas Bay beach both days and on the last day again then came back and showered etc in the leisure centre before heading home. Lovely bars up the town a drive thru McDonalds the biggest Tesco Extra store Ive ever seen which is open til midnight. All in all between walks around the lake in the hotel, beaches within 10 minutes drive and the town being lovely I really enjoyed it in the good weather we had and will defo go back again!
Hotel nice and staff very friendly. Booked twin room and window looked out onto a wall. Requested a sea view and was told they did not exist for twin rooms. Carmel Bourke
Nice location and hotel itself but the place was full of old people. I felt like my coffin was waiting outside for me. We were woken up repeatedly between the hours of 7:00 - 9:00 to what can only be described as a 5 year old boy whacking a ping pong ball against the wall on the floor above us. So to sum up if I was 60 and FULLY deaf this place would be ideal :)
Stayed overnight on way from Rosslare. Excellent location - we were able to walk our dogs on the beach evening & morning (dogs stayed in the car!). Very good food with good selection & generous portions. Nice bedroom - comfy bed & bathroom was fine. Safe parking. Friendly staff & would stay again. Great value for money with DBB break.
We greatly enjoyed our short break in this friendly hotel, which has a superb location that makes it very convenient for exploring Wicklow -- Brittas, Avoca and Glendalough, etc. The hotel has very good leisure facilities, an excellent restaurant and was recently upgraded. Overall, we'd give the Arklow Bay a four star rating (our family room was at the back of the hotel) and look forward to our next stay.
Had a wonderful overnight stay in the Arklow Bay Hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful and our evening meal was excellent . I will go back again soon.
Very warm and welcoming at reception. Food very tasty only complaint a member of staff announced very loudly in restaurant that we were on a lidl break ! Room warm and comfortable. Leisure centre very enjoyable . Close to all amenities
Very nice quaint hotel. The staff really make this hotel great, they are all lovely, friendly and professional. The food is very nice and the evening entertainment in the bar (one lady band!) was really amazing! The leisure centre is lovely and relaxing too and again the staff there are lovely.
Hotel was lovely and clean, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Enjoyed my stay there.
Overall very happy with hotel staff and hotel in general. The food in the restaurant was really good. There was a mix-up with our mains and we were more than compensated for this. My only drawback was the lockers in the ladies pool area, they had no locks. We had asked before we went in and were told the lockers cost €1, but in the ladies there was no form of lock, just a hole in the door. So make sure not to bring any valuables to the pool. Did enjoy the stay and would go back.
The Arklow Bay is a lovely hotel ,in a good location, nice clean rooms with a nice bar.Doesnt really cater for vegetarians on their menus, best thing about the hotel is the leisure centre, its fantastic with lovely staff. My only problem with the hotel is the 1st night i stayed ,we were seated in the bar for dinner as it was too quiet to open the restaurant, which was fine and i asked the gentleman that checked us in could we eat there the 2nd night as we were meeting friends and wanted to dine with them,he said no problem. The 1st night we nearly missed dinner as when we asked to order was told the kitchen had shut,it was 8.25 but they decided to give us the dinner.the 2nd night when we went to order we were told we couldnt eat in the bar. After speaking to a manager we were allowed to eat in the bar but pay an extra 12 euro.WE had paid for a 2 course meal with tea but we paid it anyway.I found the manager very uncooperative and rude but apart from that I would recommend this hotel.
Overall a very pleasent stay here . we had no reason to complain at all and would return in the future.
Very comfortable bed...Very friendly staff, good sized lobby. The choice of food in restaurant was very good and bar food very reasonable...Will definately visit again.
We enjoyed our break very much the hotel and staff were excellent.
Excellent experience in the arklow bay hotel. service was friendly and efficient. Food superb. Impressive pool and facilities. Bed a little uncomfortable but have booked a return stay in january with all the family. Fiona
the hotel is very clean and the staff where very friendly I could not fault this hotel and it is in a quite central location within walking distance of the town centre. the restaurant serves a buffet breakfast which we found to be very good. at night the meal was both well presented and excellent on taste I could not find fault with anything in this hotel
Had a fantastic stay at the Arklow Bay Hotel, staff were great, food was great, location excellent plus my daughter lover the kids club. Only negative I have is the pool was very cloudy and murky, Didn't look great as the first thing that comes to mind is dirty.
I stayed with family at the Arklow Bay Hotel last week and we really enjoyed our stay there. The staff were very friendly, rooms were very clean, food was beautiful. I would highly recommend the Arklow Bay to anyone. Paula - Dublin
Weekend stay was enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Good level of service. The food was very good. We had a restful and quiet time in the Arklow Bay hotel. Local scenery was beautiful. Rgds, Chris
Excellent stay hotel spotless spa treatments were brilliant really enjoyed the stay . Staff were more then helpfull the only negative thing I felt was the dinner which was of poor choice and not very nice.
The price of the Bar food was very expensive and i did not find the staff to be overly helpfull or friendly in the bar, at times it was difficult to find someone to serve us and we waited a long time for the food we ordered. Our room was clean and tidy and had a lovely view, it was however extremely warm in the room and we could not turn off the radiator as the knob was missing, reception didnt seem to keen to help. our package was 2b+b1d the breakfast was very nice, our evening meal though was not so enjoyable the menu was not suitable, it was very restricted and the supplements on the menu were the highest i have ever seen (€7.50 for the steak) the amenities around the area were lovely, very nice walks by the lake a wonderful playground for the children and the leisure facilities and swimming pool were great, the staff extremely helpfull and friendly.
Great night and a great family get together. The entertainment in the bar at night was very good. The rooms are basic but adequate (no frills). The only disappointment was the restaurant. It was a very limited menu, which when we arrived one course had already been changed. Again it was adequate but not great. The bar food looked way better than the food we had. All in all, nice place, friendly staff and lovely location.
I really enjoyed my stay there. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar food was delicious and the waiting staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However I have one criticism which is that there were children running around in the bar at 12 at night which is far too late.I was concerned about their safety and couldn't relax having a drink. There was a sign outside the bar stating that children should be off the premises by 9pm but this was not adhered to.
I stayed there on the 26/01/2013 for one night the hotel was nice and the staff were as well the only compliant was that we booked for dinner as part of the deal the food was very good but we sat for dinner at 18.30 and we were finshed by 19.15 the main course arrived before our drinks the dessert order was taken with the main course order so well had just finished our main when the dessert arrived there was no time to relax and enjoy your meal breakfast was very good and alot more relaxed
Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of Arklow Town. The leisure center is really nice as too is the pub and restaurant. Rooms are well decorated with good space and a wonderful view. I would definitely go back.
Everything was just wonderful It was just tooo bad that he weather was not a little better.
It was our first time in the Arklow Bay and we will definitely return sometime in the near future. We found all the staff very friendly and the bar food was excellent. Susan/Dublin.
Friendly staff , great food and entertainment at night, room was lovely , had a great time.
Enjoyed a great girlie nite + dinner in Arklow Bay. Rooms clean & warm. Dinner was excellent. Fantastic value. trying to decide where to go next.
just back from a lovely weekend in the Arklow bay hotel. Lovely location beside river, sea and shops. Loved the pool. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Food in the hotel was beautiful. service quick. Would recommend to friends and family and would definitely go back for another visit.
I took my Mother to the Arklow Bay Hotel for one night B&B and evening dinner and I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience . The hotel is lovely and spacious , the staff very friendly and helpful and the food was tasty too . The Leisure centre is a great bonus which we both enjoyed . I did feed back this to the hotel and the one suggestion I would make is to have check in at 2pm instead of 4pm ,even though it says 3pm on web site . I would recommend this Hotel to others and hope to return in 2013 , Thank You Lidl .
The hotel itself was lovely, fantastic view of the lake with lots of swans on it. Staff were very welcoming, Check in was quick told of facalities in hotel ...... The main falut I had was Lobby Area and bar were bitter cold, i did pity the receptionist having to sit there. We had bar food the evening we arrived once the bar staff closed the main bar doors into the lobby it was much warmer and of course an Irish Cofffee after dinner helped to warm us. The food was fantastic from the bar menu. Would recommend the Prawn starter!!! Our room was lovely with a lovely view and was warm. Breakfast the following morning was also very tasty. Would recommend it to anyone.
Very good, staff and facilities excellent
just back from a great stay at the arklow bay .staff food rooms brill .had a great day at the spa .looking forward to going back.
Enjoyed our Break in Arklow Bay Hotel hugely! Staff both very pleasant and helpful! Food top-class! Location of Hotel is Ace-adjecent to sea, shops and countryside! Look forward to returning for Autumn Treat! Joan.... Wexford
Lovely Hotel ,staff very friendly.Swimming pool and steem room great. Food in restaurant was fab. Staff so nice. Had a wonderful time . Hope to pay another visit soon.
Had a very pleasant stay even though it was only for one night. Found the reception staff very helpful on our arrival. Entertainment in the bar on the night was excellent. Food was also excellent.
Brought my wife and our 4 year old grandson for a 2 day mid week break in the arklow bay hotel the staff are very friendly breakfast was lovely plenty to choose from the buffet. we had dinner in the bar on both days food excellent hotel was packed thats always a good sign we are both into keep fit and made use of the leisure club we went for a walk around the hotel grounds they have a lake with plenty of wildlife and an outdoor gym it was brill i have been in hotel & catering for over 20 years so i know what the public expect we will be going there again
Lidl definitely ensured that this break was excellent. the Arklow Bay Hotel, all the staff very friendly, efficient and welcoming. The hotel itself very clean, ideally located for excellent walks, fantastic food. I must highly recommend the food in the bar, we got scampi and fantastic. The leisure centre ideal and well equipped, my wife got treatments and couldn't praise it highly enough - thanks tina. I would highly recommend using Lidl to others for their choice of locations for breaks, the user friendly method of booking online and have already booked another break with them. Morgan
we had a great time in the Arklow Bay Hotel friendly staff great food
a lot cheaper with lidl than with the hotel
very enjoyable stay will stay for two nights the next time as there were lovely walks nearby that i would like to try. the hotel was very nice and staff helpful and friendly. we had bar food which was excellant
We stayed one night at Arklow Bay Hotel. Bedroom had a nice fresh look and feel. Our meals were served in the bar, , which we had no problem with except that the room was quite cold both at dinner time and again at breakfast next morning, The meals were ok , overall my husband and I were a bit dissapointed with our stay considering it is a Brennan Hotel Fifi
ARLOW BAY ,NICE HOTEL ROOM WAS LOVELY WITH VIEW OF THE BAY.COMFORTABLE CLEAN HOTEL WITH EFFICENT STAFF .BREAKFAST AND DINNER WERE LOVELY ENJOYED A RELAXING AND ENJOYABLE STAY AND VERY GOOD VALUE THANKS TO LIDL BREAKS.GERALDINE .
The hotel is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. There is easy access to walks along the coast and the walk into town isn't too hard either. This hotel has everything I look for in a holiday destination.
Very disappointed with this hotel. It,s the first bad experience we've had with a lidl break. The reception area and bar and foyer area have had a lovely refurb but when we arrived every table was full of dirty plates and glasses.Outside was just as bad ,with ash trays overflowing. We arrived at 2pm and were told our room would be ready at 3pm so we got a drink, cleared a table outside and sat for an hour only to be told at 3pm that it would possibly be 4pm before the room was ready. In all this time the tables still hadn't been cleared. We left our bags at reception and went for a ramble into town.Arrived back at 6.30 ,tables were cleared and room was finally ready. The receptionist told us we would love our room,in a quiet area of hotel (it was over the car park so not so quiet ) .The smell of damp in the corridor and the state of the carpets, there were at least four different patchwork colours,We couldn't believe this was a Brennon Hotel, the door was poorly painted and hallway just looked dark and depressing. The room was clean but windows were full of condensation and of very poor quality, hard to open and close and every noise can be heard outside. The bathroom was tiny and not very clean, there was hair in the bath.We didn't see the point at this late stage in complaining as the lady on reception had told us in her very impolite manner that the hotel was full this weekend. We went to the restaurant at 8.45 ,which looked quite nice. When taking our order we had to give starter, main, desert and whether we wanted tea or coffee ????We couldn't believe it,we didn't even bother with wine we felt we were rushed from start to finish and were done by 10pm.The Brennan brothers have a T.V programme advising B&B's and hotels how best to run the hospitality business, well Lad's try starting with your own Hotel, never again .....
Very good apart from the noise the toilet fan and toilet systren made all night. Great location for walking and joging. Food brill.9/10.Keep up the good work Brennans.
i stayed at the arklow bay with my boyfriend, it is perfect for a quiet break which is what we were looking for, the reception and barstaff are very friendly, the food was beautiful and it was great value for money, we will be back again, suzie
It was a pleasure . Our room was lovely and the view was very nice. The service was very good and effecient .The food excelent and i would have no hsiitation in returning for another visit in the near future.Lidl breaks are certainly fantastic. Thank you all . Caroline
Good-sized room with balcony. Enjoyed use of leisure centre. Dinner and breakfast very satisfactory. Staff friendly. Lidl deals provides exceptional value. Negatives: 1.Only Irish channels available on TV - loss of foreign stations blamed on bad weather. 2. Bill / Statement not available when checking out. Assured that it would be posted on to me but have not received it to date.
very pleasant stay, staff were friendly and efficient, food was very good. The room was a little bit small, but I would'nt make a big deal over that. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody!, kind regards, Paul & Geraldine Seery.
It was very pleasent stay, the staff and the food were excellent we would definetly stay there again. It was great value. Thank you
